routine/naps-to early?

do you girls have a routine yet? do you let your baby sleep down stairs with you? or have naps in own room,ect? kendra downstairs with me in day and up till we go bed.

ive not made a point of putting sophie into a routine- the past few weeks shes fallen into her own routine. shes quite predictable now and it does make life a bit easier. we started with a moses basket in the lounge with us for when she slept but now when she naps in the day she goes in her cot. i made the mistake with dd1 with holding her while she slept during the day and it caused alot of hassle further down the line!

yeh, her cot is in our bedroom. we have a baby monitor in our living room so we can hear her if she wakes.

Yes we've made that mistake this time Lucy!! Cos he breastfeeds so often hes got in the habit of sleeping then and I cannot get him down in his cot now during the day. He's fine at night. Did you have to try to get dd1 out of it? Or did she get better at sleeping alone? I don't want to think about controlled crying til hes over 6 months. Thankfully he goes in his crib for most of the night tho.

We've just started a bedtime routine which has been going well, apart from tonight! :lol: We have no other routine as feeding on demand. He naps when feeding, or in his pram/sling in the day. xx

bliss, i pretty much put up with it until she was 10months old and i got pregnant with sophie. i had to do controlled crying but now she sleeps brilliantly, 6.30pm til 8.30am! i did lots of walking with phoebe in the pram so she slept lots in that too, i wish id have put her down in her cot for naps from the start!

Thanks Lucy! We've always tried to get Jacob down in his basket/cot but he just won't settle for him boob=sleep! We take him out in the pram or sling to get him to sleep too. That's great that she sleeps so well now!

We tried PUPDCD (baby whisperer) yesterday and omg after an 1.5 hours he was still crying! Clearly a boy who knows what he wants! lol. Think we'll have to try controlled crying when he's a bit older, breaks my heart though, and i'm not sure it will be easy with him! At the moment when we're home he sleeps on me and with Isaac too it's just not fair on him. It's a shock after Isaac who always settled easily and loved his cot! xxx

lol thanks bliss but i dont really go on fb as it causes issues with the hubby haha! ill just float around here and hope that someone comes on once in a while! i did wonder where everyone had gone though! :lol:
