Hi girls

Just wondering who's lo's have fallen into a routine yet?

My baby Bella is really good so far. She is 5 weeks on tuesday. She is feeding every 3-4 hours during the day taking 4-5oz. She goes to bed at about 10:30 and sleeps through till 3. Then she will wake up at about half 6/7. She might have a few more hours after that but weirdly it depends on the weather!!! If it is raining or darker outside she will go back to sleep after her 7am feed but if it is sunny she is wide awake!!!! Odd! Also she hates having a bath in the evening, she likes them mid morning and then to have a kick about! She gets quite grizzly in an evening, I def have and early bird on my hands! Opposite to her Mummy of course!

How much sleep do your lo's have during the day? Do they sleep after feeds usually? When do yours have their bath?

Just interested to know how everyones days are going! Has anyone had any smiles yet?

Sam gets up at 6 bang on every morning without fail. he will have three feeds in quick sucession. he will then nap for a couple of hours. he is then pretty much wide awake till about 9 then he has another 3 feeds will go to sleep at 10 then wake at 4 or 5 for a quick snack. he likes a warm bath with bubbles in the evening but if you get it just slightly too cool he screams the place down bless him. got some very cheeky smiles he is pulling the ladies already lol

Lucas wakes at 6 but will go back to sleep til 8am. He will then feed every hour til 10 or 11 then feeds every 2 hours all day. He will only sleep during the day if he's been out in the pram. At 7 he gets bath and feed before bed and will sleep til 1am. He then gets up at 3.30 for a feed.

Henry is currently waking between 6 and 7am, having a feed then going back to sleep until about 9 or 10, depending on whether he woke at 6 or 7, he then wakes and has another feed about 1 or 2 and stays awake, feeds again about 4pm, again about 7pm and then again at about 10pm, this is always a big feed and I usually get him settled about half 11 and he then sleeps through until 6 or 7! Occassionally he will wake at half 4 for a feed, but he hasn't done this for a few nights now.
He doesn't sleep in the afternoon or evening anymore, he has the occassional cat nap, but he fights sleep so hard and also has nasty colicky pains so just won't sleep. But as that seems to mean he is shattered and sleeping through, I'm not complaining too much!! He has a bath in the morning normally, after his 9am feed, but if he is colicky and in pain of an evening I'll pop him in then instead, he loves a bath, gets in with me and kicks about for ages, really loves the water, just like his mum...I spent the vast majority of pregnancy in the bath!!!

chloe's normal routine is:

wakes anytime between 4am and 7am, depending on when woke during the night, has a feed then generally sleeps again. have to wake her for a wash or bath, depending on what she needs and what we are doing that morning. tbh we have been out most mornings recently so feed her after wash and dress then into car seat and out! she then has a feed around lunchtime but this varies according to when she fed earlier but generally she does 4 hrs between feeds.

she tyically wants a fair amount of food in the afternoon, pretty much snacking on and off all pm. then had a feed, usually just as hubby serving dinner cos she was quiet!! lol! used to cold dinner now!

we then start her bed routine (more for us than her I have to add!) about 8pm. she has generally just been asleep on hubby's chest for the last hr. if i can rouse her, i will feed her one side from me, change her nappy and then give her the otherside. we then swaddle her, put her in her moses and go to bed ourselves. this is about 9pmish. she then will sleep anything up to 2am depending on how well she fed earlier. i then try to give her boobie juice but some times she feeds off me for 2 hrs and still not satisfied so at this point will get out the formula. like i say her first morning feed varies according to the above.

it might sound a bit jumbled but seems to work fairly well, providing she is well for us.

well..Amelia is full of colic and is quite difficult and grizzly baby.
She tends to wake about 7am and stays awake for hour or so. Then she zonks till mid afternoon though she wakes for feeds in between sleep. She feeds for well over and hour mid afternoon then stays awake. She sleeps again about 6pm which is good as gives me chance to see to other kids. She then has bath when they are in bed about 8 and I massage her and then feed her. If all goes well we go to bed about 10pm and she wakes anything like 1, 3 and 5! No routine yet as with colic it all gets thrown up in the air when she is screamin all afternoon and night so any routine is out the window.
I always think babies routines are random till they hit about 12 weeks.
A friend once said that with her first she planned to feed the baby for half an hour every 3 to 4 hours. Reality was she fed the baby for 3 to 4 hours every half hour........always made me laugh!!!!!!!!!!!! So true

Hi all,
Alex wakes at 6.30-7am for a feed then is awake til I feed again at 8 before I drive kids to school. Then he feeds again when I get home from shopping (which he usually sleeps through- loves being pushed!) or if he is asleep will put him in moses basket. I usually feed him at lunchtime and mid afternoon and in between he will sleep pretty well. He then feeds on and off from 4pm when i've picked up the girls from school. He tends to nap as the girls go over and wake him up (am hoping the novelty will wear off soon) by talking to him and holding teddies cms from his face!
By bathtime (8.45 at the mo) he is shattered. He has a last long feed after the bath and is usually asleep by 9.30 when we go to bed too (doze off to tv- v. bad I know). He wakes up once in the night between 4 and 5 and then we begin it all again!

Dogstar....how lovely the girls loving their little bro like that. How are you finding a boy?????????? I loving having a girl at last. i know I have had one before but that was 17 yrs ago.
LolaP........ Amelia is the same. Very windy and reluctant to give it up. Her night feeds are quick but she winds for ages. Infacol does help. Just sleep when she does during the day until you are in better shape.
Has anyone tried or considered Gina Ford>>> I cant with having 5 as my routines are all over place and a baby just has to fit in with us. However, with your first its possible to follow it and you may find it suits you!
