I am sooooooo proud of my princess!!! I sent her to nursery today with pants and many changes of clothes today to see how she went!! She did her first ever wee in a potty this morning - woo hoo!!!! she has been sitting on them for months but never once done anything in it. We have a reward chart for her and let her choose which sticker she wanted on it.

She did have two accidents later on but was not a big deal. She later sat on the potty reading a book with one of her friends for 25 mins  but didn't do anything in it!!

She's loving wearing pants but is still thankfully ok with nappies still when needed.

Just so proud I had to share!!!

oh dee i need your wisdom hun!!

thanks for asking!!

well, she has done two weeks in the potty in 5 days!! today so far no wees in potty but no accidents either! yesterday no wee accidents but no wee in potty either, although she did a poo in her pants.

she had 4 accidents at nursery on thursday and no wee in potty at all.

she is basically holding onto it until she a nappy on but when she is having an accident she is doing it literally 30 secs after getting off potty.

She still loves to go on the potty or toilet still, not getting upset when having accidents and wants to wear pants rather than nappy.

what we have agreed with nursery is to give it til the end of next week and see how she does and review it then. they are happy to sort her out as it stands at the mo, but if still the same at the end of next week they think we should leave it a while.

any tips or advice dee?

It sounds like she is doing well but, maybe leave it for a month or so and try again. 24 months is very young to be potty trained really. 2 and a half to 3 is more the norm.

Don't stress about it and don't worry if she goes back in nappies.

Try to buy or borrow Gina Fords potty training in a week. It is good.

thanks dee. Our library is beyond pants so will have to see what sort of price i can find it online for.

She wore pants most of yesterday and did no wee in potty/toilet but no accidents either! Think we will see how the next week goes as nursery are happy to carry on and see what happens.
