Hi
I think that what this thread proves (and similar ones done B4) is that all kids are so different and they do things in their own time!

All 5 of mine have been so different with milestones that it amazes me.

Amelia has been dry during the day for a long time BUT still has accidents. Not enough to put her back in nappies but enough to be a problem. She has never had an accident at nursery but had one today. She then came home and had a poo in the loo! She then wee'd all over the house (about3 times) I was busy doing my husbands accounts so I think it was an attention thing. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................................

The 'normal' age is 18 months to 4yrs apparantly! Therefore our March babes have nearly 17-18 months to get there before it is seen as outside the normal scope. Therefore, dont get distressed nor compare them to those that are trained. It is not a sign of intelligence, its just luck that some kids do and some don't!!!!!!!!!!

don't lose heart!!!!!!!!!

Chloe isn't potty trained!! We have had a couple of attempts but although she showed all the classic signs of being ready, she just wasn't. She asks to go on the toilet so we let her and praise etc but she has never done so much as a drop in there or a potty!!

As dee said the 'normal'age range os so wide - I was checking out development charts last night about some other stuff and it said 1/2 of children age 36mths will be potty trained so don't think we need to worry just yet!!

We only started last week with DD but seems to be going OK apart from the poos lol! DS refused point blank to use a potty or toilet til his 3rd birthday and was a total breeze after that. His little sister's had more accidents in a week than he's ever had bless!!
They all get there in their own time.

Erin was brilliant then took a massive step backwards and now has lots of accidents, in hindsight i wished i waited a bit longer.

freya trained her self day and night before she was 2 i was in shock!! she did have a bit of a stage a couple of months back when she started to wet herself again but she is over that now.
as others have said theya re all different and has nothing to do with how clever they are, my friends little girl who is a april 08 baby is a very bright articulate little girl who just point blanc refuses to sit on the potty! he will do it in his own time. xx

I was on my hands and knees last night because I could smell this awful smell. I sniffed and sniffed and realised it was my rug. She must have peed on it that many times.. bleughhhhhhhhh dragged it outside and scrubbed it but now it smells of wet dog... needless to say it is in the bin!!!!!!!!!

Ellie has been doing really well recently, we started her at the beginning of last week & she's only had a few little mishaps & that's mainly been the adults fault because she's asked to go to the loo & either I haven't got her there quickly enough or in nursery they haven't.

She goes in the morning before nursery then I put a pull up on her for the car journey, she then takes it off in nursery & uses the potty during the day. Car journeys she has a pull up on & one at night but when we're in the house she'll use the potty or the toilet with her seat on it.

She will take a while until she's fully done but I don't care how long it takes i'm just pleased she's trying xx

Lucas has had a good week with the potty, peeing and pooing on it most of the time with only a few accidents. Just need him to tell us before he needs so we can get pants on him!!! He can't pull them down yet.
