Night feeds

So, I was just wondering.. During the night feeds what do you ladies do?
I've just been starring into space while feeding Lily, but that's beginning to get REALLY boring now..
I can't switch on the telly or light during night feeds, because it wakes Lily up too much and then takes ages to get her back to sleep (also my OH works from 8AM to 5PM so he needs his sleep).

lol are you on fb? I use my mobile and go onto fb and speak to loads of other ladies from here who all tend to be up at the same time xx

I dont have a spare hand to go on facebook while feeding LOL you must be so skilled nat LOL
I quite like just looking at Alana feeding, I find it so rewarding seeing her getting what she needs from me.
But how about listening to some music on an mp3 palyer or something?

Tbh i tend to do it while im heating his bottle and after i put him back down, not actually while im feeding him. Now i know your there in spirit though girls lol xxx

I usually join Nat on fb! Even if we're all up at different times replying to each other kills a bit of time lol xx

Yeah please join us at nights its really good fun, as carly says even if its at different times we usually all have a discussion throughout the night, really passes the time. I have my phone in bed with me so just log onto fb through my apps! Look forward to chatting with you all tonight lol i think ive added most people from the facebook group to my friends but if not just pm me and i will send you my details xxx

Ahh, I do have FB, but I don't have it on my phone or anything handy like that, and I keep my laptop downstairs.
But the MP3 idea is good.. I'll have to start actually charging it though. :P

i've been lucky as Bella touch wood is only wanting a bottle at 2-3 which hubby has started to warm whilst i change her nappy then he tends to sit with me whilst i feed her even though i tell him to go back to sleep as he has to get up at 630 for work and isn't back till gone 6. i don't think the heat is helping though as i feel like a zombie. i have started to read a book whilst i give her this bottle.

Im also a facebook night feeder... but for the last 2 my lovely hubby has done our night feeds so Ive missed my lovely feeding buddies... xx

i use the ready made cartons of aptamil for night feeds (i am lazy lol) and Megan likes these at room temperature as opposed to having to be heated which saves time...

as hubby isnt back at work til monday we have both been gettin gup and taking turns changing/feeding her but she is usually up once (sometimes teice depending on what time she settles) but next week i will be doing them myselkf so hubby can sleep and i plan to take her into the nursery and sit on my nursing chair and just rock (thats what i used to do on night shifts when feeding babies lol) i like just watching and cuddling her to be honest....

I also love watching and cuddling at feeding time. I wanna take in every lil thing about her coz she will be my last baby. xx

Awwww im a mean mummy i dont really look at him during night feeds sounds terrible but i want him to know night time is different to daytime, so everything is kept to a minimum, lights low, no talking etc awww i sound mean but daytime feeds i talk to him, cuddle, smile etc xx

i keep the lights low too and dont talk (maybe a few wee whispers lol) so different to day feeds but she is so beautiful i could just sit and stare at her all day....

I don't talk to alex either during night feeds and try to keep the lights as low as possible... Need some light to see he's latching on properly!

Anyone mastered a dream feed yet - and if so bf or ff?

I also try very little talking and very low light but I just have a pad of paper and a pen on the arm of the rocking chair. I've written my shopping lists, ppl I need to call, songs I want to download and just doodled whilst we've been feeding x
