i know theres been a few posts like this already (sorry) but i just wondered what santa is bringing your los? Megan has soooo many clothes even in the bigger sizes (naughty mummy lol) so wont be getting any of those - i've been buying bits and pieces in (trying to get most peoples in this month not that i have alot of people to buy for as i cant really drag megan lasy minute shopping - went out today and shops were a nightmare already and also to spread the cost given my mat pay)

just wondered what the rest of you were getting or planning to buy/spend. hubby says not to spend alot as she wont know and will be more interested in boxes and the paper (as i said before though cant wait to see her face at the xmas tree lights - her face was a picture today as the shopping centre had lots of big twinkly stars and a tree thing you could walk under and she looked hypnotised lol) but i think 'bugger it' coz I'LL know whats going on and its 1st and for all i know only '1st, 1st christmas' hence going a bit mad. i was always quite spoikled at xmas but i was never greedy and i didnt ask for it (my mum just used to buy lots of things as she saw them, put them in the cupboard then pull them out to wrap them and would forget about half of the stuff lol :lol: i might not alwways have the money to go nuts but i want her to appreciate things as well so the meaning isnt lost but at 6 months she might not have a clue but i still want it to be special and soemthing to remember.

i picked up a couple of wee things wen i was out and today and then sorted through when i got home (i love shopping lol) and megan has:

*a silver bracelt (more as a special keepsake and to wear on special occasions eg xmas, birthday and christening - going to get a matching necklace for her 1st birthday but not a fan of jewellery on babies everyday)
*a harrods 1st christmas 2010 bear
*v-tech 1st steps walker
*learn and grove table
*a bouncy inflatable hopper horse toy thingie lol
*a wind up fifi and the flowetots tv
*a talking fifi phone
*a wiggle and giggle bird (elc)
*a ceiling cot projector (what do you call them lol?)
*rattle and shaker bells
*bath toys (squirters, bubble maker etc)
*a couple of books
*a shape sorting puzzle thing (the ones with like 4 big parts?)
*stacking cups
*baby einsteins take along tunes toy

and im going to get her some things from baby sensory - light up glo balls, chiffon scarfs, light up batton that sort of thing.

we always got new pyjamas and slippers and bubble bath etc on x,s eve to get ready for santa coming and i want to keep this tradition going she will have her 'my 1st christmas' sleepsuit on this year,

i think im going to tell my sis to get her the boune and spin froggy (as per my post in baby) and my aunt and cousin asked for some things and they have got her light up stacking rings, a pink vtech radio, elc pink buggy driver and the vtech babies 1st laptop (in pink obviously lol) and my dad i think will just give me money and im going to say to get her a shape sorter or maybe the winnie the pooh rattle toy thing that dances that people keep talking about.

sorry writing an essay but i got all excited listing off all of the things she has as im excited for her and to play them with her hehe - i wanted some oldert toys to do fot her birthday (i have already seen things for this too....fifi ride on, ball pit, paddling pool, swing lol) oh i wish i was a kid again lol!!!

The v-tech 1st steps walker is brilliant! I got that for my son on his first christmas and he still plays with it now. Its the first thing to be dragged out when any of his mates come round and while he's at nursery during the day Viola loves bashing the buttons. Really good buy!

Bloody hell all I've got Evie is some pyjamas and a dressing gown!!

We've not got anything for Samuel yet!!!
We are a bit tight for money, what with me just being on mat pay, plus our house isn't that big, so can't really have a lot of stuff!!
We bought him a Bumbo the other week, which I've said was an early Xmas present. We haven't got many older clothes for him, so will probably get him some outfits. I really wanted a jumperoo for him, but it's too big and too much money for us to spend.
Really don't know what else to get for him, might just get some small light up toys, as he loves the light and noises!!

Poor Harry won't be getting much either!!! He won't know!!! I'm too busy looking at all the pages of the Argos catalogue in the "girls toys section" with the corners turned over!!! Man they've been busy!! Ha ha!!!Just getting him enough so the girls don't query why Santa hasn't bought their baby brother anything!!! ...... Bought him a high chair yesterday!!!!

Oscar's not getting much either, at 6.5 months he's hardly going to remember! But we have got a few bits and pieces.

Got a jumperoo off ebay for ??????46 so that's his main pressie and he's had it already.

and a tambourine/shaker/rattles set stocking filler type thing.
We've also got a personalised bauble as a keepsake of his first christmas and will be investing in a good stocking that will last him a god few years!
Actually that's a fair bit now I've written it down, hopefully he'll be happy with that!

i know megan isnt going to hav a clue but i dont care...she has lots of wee light up and musical toys which i bought when she was born and takes much more interst in them now so thinks like the walker and learn and groove table she will sort of grow inot and will do her bwteeen christmas and her birthday.

she has (sorry mummy has lol) 18 things to open (i counted them this morning) but i havnt spent that much not really) i guess after the past few years i've had i just try and live for the moment as you dont know what will come in the future and what the situation will be like next year so while i can buy a bit more this year i am as i find it sooo exciting. i see soemthing and i think 'oh megan will like that' (even thjough she doesnt know any better) and i just buy it - hence why her wardrobe is bursting with clothes now up to 12 months. I think i may have an addiction lol;.

Oh ladies! I am in a complete flap over christmas! I have no idea what to get Caleb! My mum has went a bit mad and bought him a bouncy/rocking horse type thing, a glo worm, one of those books that have lights and speak, a bubble machine, a buggy driver, clothes, personalised baubles etc. My aunt works in a clothes shop that does childrens clothes so she has bought him loads of clothes, and small toys for the bath. I was going to get him a walker, but my SIL bought him one last month, and he has a bumbo, door bouncer etc so I am stuck for ideas while wondering if he has enough! I might get him a cot projector thing but I have no idea about anything else! I dont want to go overboard since he is so young, but I want to get him lots of things he can be excited over for a while!

We've got Pops a DJ walker and some stocking fillers - a Lamaze toy, a few books, and I'm going to get her a couple of bath toys as she loves the bath!

I have been all artsy and made her a personalised stocking and some Christmas tree decorations (painting them this week!) - some handprints with her name and 2010 on (and some for the g parents), which are going to be glittered and strung on ribbon etc. and some fun snowmen, candy canes, that sort of thing.

She has been bought SO much by her g parents I think she'll have a whale of a time!! Mainly I can't wait to take her to see Father Christmas and the lights switch on!

hahaha Lauz, I love it, it sounds like you are going to need some reindeer and a sleigh with all those goodies! I havent bought anything yet!!! Like some others I am in a very small house and in the process of trying to sell it so minimalism is key, we are planning on getting a v tech nursery rhyme book, a children's poetry book and a toy but we dont know what yet. I have made stockings before for my godchildren so I am going to make James's, I just cant decide what to put on it, christmas tree, snowman or reindeer! xx

so far weve got a pink vtech walker, a spinning top type thing from wilkos ( ??????4 whereas an identical one in mothercare is ??????10) some stacking cups and a little Snowman ( from the animated film). Thinking of getting a shape sorter and a Lamaze Octotunes as well as she likes playing sitting up Also like the look of the Lamaze Balancing bugs.

Bella is getting a vtech walker, learn and crawl ball, stacking blocks from m&s, moosical and some clothes.

If anyone has a b&m store near them they have fisher price baby toys and loads of other age toys for cheaper. My nan got bella a fisher price cookie jar sorter for ??????11.99 its ??????16 in other shops

you ladies are way more organised than me! Well after saying that we wouldn't be going mad this Christmas we've only gone and bought Rebecca a Jumperoo. We used our Tesco clubcard vouchers (which are worth double the amount at the moment) so it only cost us a tenner. Our house is pretty small but what the hell, the reviews are great so I thought I'd give it a go. This will be coming out before Christmas to get the most use out of it so we'll buy a few small things to go under the tree. I might get the V-Tech ball as Rebecca loves playing with this in baby group and I also like the look of the V-Tech walker. Ooh and we're going shopping for some new lights and Christmas deccies at the weekend, can't wait x

I went mad for DD's first Christmas and 2nd Christmas well because i could really!

This year im not getting any MAT pay or anything so we are just on hubbys wage so i need to take it easy, plus our garage roof has just colapsed and is going to cost ??????1000 at least to fix which has to be done asap

ANYWAY dd just had her second birthday ojn the 30th September and got so many toys, we literally have toys in every room. Im going to buy her mainly little stocking fillers and 1 or 2 bigger pressies probably related to Peppa Pig

Ds will be getting some "boyish" things as everything in this house is pink :lol: so some boy books, maybe a train toy or something like that and some clothes. We have all the Vtech walkers, jumperoos etc from DD so we are limited on what to buy him!

Im going to try and not spend more than ??????100 between them! eek wish me luck! x
