i like the idea of baby led weaning but i'm not that clued up about it so will have to do some reading. But aiyana is really interested in our food already at 12 weeks, she reaches for things we are eating and copies the mouth movements for chewing so i don't think we'll get to 6 months to try. I weaned my son the traditional way and he's not a fussy eater at all, never had any feeding issues with him whatsoever and i know what i'm doing that way so it may be best all round for us.

my 3yr old and 19mnth old arent fussy at all, they will eat anything! they were weaned from 4months and were sometimes fed homemade puree but jars mostly. my eldest struggled a bit with lumps but got there within a few weeks. i offered finger foods (carrot sticks, toast, cheese etc.) from 5/6mnths. ill just see how Caleb is and decide at the time at the moment he has 4 8/9oz bottles a day.xx

How have you got on with the hungry baby milk? Luke is feeding every 2 hours now. I gave him a bottle the other day and he took 9oz and then wanted feeding again after 2 hours. I think I may speak to the hv and see what she suggests, but at this rate he is going to be huge!!! xxx

Dont worry hun, I dont think you have to tell them, Im just going to speak to mine about weaning. I really thought we would get to at least about 18 weeks, but at 13 weeks Luke seems like he is getting ready for some grub!!! lol. Im going to hold off as long as I can but he is hungry all the time. I feed him, change him and have a little play and he is hungry again. I though it may be because he wasnt getting enough milk from me, but even when he was given a bottle so I could see he took 9oz he was hungry again in 2 hours. It may just be a growth spurt, but its been going on for over a week now. xxx

But sure speak to your Hv, theres no harm in that. Aah Ally if Cian went back to his sleepy self Ill be delighted! But this all started on Fri nyt when I was leaving him to go out with my friends he was so grumpy with me and then the routine went out the window... Better I just stay in with him from now on xxx
