I've just posted on Michmummy's post about Aila's birth etc and thinking back has - rather than making me feel sad - made me feel sooo lucky. I feel so lucky that I have a fighter - Aila's story could so easily have had another outcome I'm so glad she fought the Septicaemia and lived to become the amazing beautiful daughter I have today.

It was terrfying Niene - especially after losing my friend to Meningococcal Septicaemia it was my worst nightmare for my baby. Looking at her now you'd never guess she'd been so ill I am soo proud

I am so happy that she came through it and is now doing so well, and she is so gorgeous too! I think you have a really great attitude towards the experience, and that can only be good for you and your family. You are so lucky to have such a strong beautiful wee girl, and she is lucky to have an amazing mummy like you! X

came to reply to this when the site went down poo!

I have to say my positive attitude has only occured in the last few weeks before that I felt so guilty and upset when I thought about it. So I was happy when I realised how differently I felt now - must be coming over the hill of my PND
