Arghhhhhh i so want a lie in lol!!! Just a grumble really about the whole waking at 7 thing i get so jealous when i see other mummys say their lil ones sleep til 9 etc i would kill for that!!

We slightly wake Alyssa at 10pm for her feed now feeding in the dark and treating as a middle of the night feed this feed is over with in 10/15 mins and she is back in the cot sleeping then sleeps soundly til 7am when we go in and wake her up, i HATE waking her up esp on weekends when i would just love a lie in lol, i'm wondering what time she would sleep till if i left her?!?

Anyways Joe how is Emilia doing now is her cold all gone is she back to feeding/sleeping better?

hello

we loosely follow this now, he usually gets up of his own accord at 7 but the odd times he does go longer we let him never goes past 8 though! doesnt seem to interfere with his routine at all x

hey Mrs P

Emilia is much better now - its me and my OH that seemed to have got the worst of it!!
Her sleeping perfect now...she is even settling unswaddled which is great now the weather is getting warmer. She sleeps all night, and has to be woken at 7am. We still have a thing with feeding, but that has been there since the beginning.

Does Alyssa take a full feed at 10pm or is she cutting back? Emilia didn't take all her milk last night, she wanted back in her cot to go to sleep. Think she left behind just over .5 of an oz. She did drink slightly more at breakfast though, just took her 30 mins!!!!!

I would just move the whole routine back one hour, for example. Obviously you would have a slightly later going to bed time but it has worked for us. Over easter we had family things to go to so I woke Emilia up an hour later so she would be ready for her lunchtime nap at 1pm instead of 12. It worked fine.

P.S Is Alyssa's reflux a bit better now? Did you get Gaviscon in the end?

Oooooh i may leave her tomorrow and see how she does after all it is Sunday lol,

I hadn't thought about pushing everything back an hour actually doh, silly me!

I'm pleased emilia is better but sorry that you and your other half are suffering, Alyssa never takes a full feed and is slowly cutting back she takes about 90 sometimes 120 but never more than that. and she never takes a full feed at 7 either?!?!? she makes up for it and always wants more at the 11 feed.

Her reflux is so much better we took her to A and E at the weekend because she was distressed and throing up blood and they gave us some gaviscon and she has stopped vomiting blood so her throat must be better which is a relief, we have the odd teeny bit of sick but no more whole bottles coming back up she is such a happier baby too she will now happily lay on her back to play yaaaaay!!

I feel better now!!! I have been battling Emilia to take her full feed - I will just leave her to take what she wants...I suppose it might have a knock on effect during the day??? I know it does say under the 3 -4 month routine they should start to cut back.

I am so glad Alyssa is feeling better - it must have been scary at the weekend. Its awful when there is something wrong or they dont feel well.

Enjoy your lay in tomorrow - I am sure it will be bliss after all these 6:30am starts!! Lucky babies get another 30 mins!!
