Right ladies, in two weeks hubby and I are going out on the town and Mum is having Gracie overnight. Im PERTRIFIED!! What if something happens and Im not there? What if Gracie has a freak out? What if she doesn't stop crying?? Argh!! Also, my sister needs to stay over with her bloke at mum's, so they need the spare double room, whic h Mum was going to sleep in with Gracie, but now it looks as though Gracie will need to go in the single room on her own, she has never been in a room on her own, apart from when she goes to bed, before us. Im so so so scared! Can anyone give me any advice in order to make this first night easier - on both of us!!

She will be fine!! Don't forget, your mum has raised children and so isn't new to the whole looking after a baby thing

Gracie knows Granny so would be very surprised if she then has a freak out.

I am sure she'll have lots of fun with Granny and won't even notice you're not there (harsh but sadly true - kids are terrible for that :lol: )

I think you are right and she is going to be fine! My friend took her for 2 hrs yesterday as I had to visit a school (for work, not for Gracie!) and she was completly fine, barely even registered that I had left! How rude!!

dont worry they tend to be little angels when they are away from home then punish us the next day for leaving them!! I was worried the first time i let my lo but you can always ring or txt to check in just to make sure everything is ok.

I managed to go out for the first time with my buddies for a hen night on Saturday, which was FAB!! Gracie has been sleeping through the night, though when I got in a 2am she was up having a feed till 3, then she gotr up again at 6 and 8!! Argh!! Plus my OH went on the stag do yesterday, so I was in bed the same time as Gracie last night, 7:30!! I was bloody exhausted! 3hrs sleep is really not enough!

Ah youll be fine hun. Ive just put Bethany in her own room and she sleeps so much better! shes still in her moses basket cos shes too small for cot but to be honest i dont think she even knows shes not with us!
