Evening mummies and hopefully sleeping babies!
I have had a proper crap day today and feel like the worst mummy ever. Izzy is in proper teething mode at the mo cutting the top four teeth altogether and has been screaming and screaming the whole day! She wouldn't eat her lunch which was homemade pasta and sauce as we were out this evening and I am getting so paranoid that my poor baby only eats ellas kitchen as I have been so hectic lately! She hasn't really slept and so by the time we were due to go and see dh mum who has travelled six hours to see her she was in a bit of a bad mood she then screamed her way through our meal and I swear people were staring and thinking god that mum is crap! She wouldn't eat anything apart from a rich tea finger (her third of the day!!!) and then grabbed the chocolate buttons out my bag and I just felt it was easier to give her one then fight it - see bad mummy! We ended up going upstairs to my mil hotel room so she could stretch out and roll but I feel like the worst most useless mummy in the world! Sorry just needed to let it out as am also starting to worry that it is my fault she isn't crawling yet as she has had hardly any floor time recently and I am so paranoid about her banging her head god I sound like a right moaner tonight sorry everyone I think I am going to go and get a glass of wine and drown my sorrows!! Hope everyone else is ok? Xxx

Oh rena you are NOT a bad mummy! I would have done the same if I was in that situation. Sometimes it is just that bit easier to feed them what they WILL eat rather than fight them on what they won't! I'm sending big cyber hugs your way Hun.

Rebecca doesn't crawl yet or make much attempt too either! So please don't worry on that front. Poor mummy and baby girl for teething so badly. Big hugs Hun.

You are not a bad mummy! You did what you could to make your daughter happy and a chocolate button isn't the end of the world if it stops a tantrum! A bad mummy would't give a stuff.

Emily has been so upset at bedtime the last couple of nights because of teething. I have tried everything and she still sobs her heart out. I feel terrible but i know that i have done what i can.

Izzy will crawl when she is ready. Enjoy the stillness just now. Just remember babies are more resiliant than we think so if she does bump her head it won't be hard enough to cause her any harm and she probably won't do it again. They need to make mistakes to learn from them, it's all part of their development. It's so hard not to want to wrap them in cotton wool! Being a mummy is bloody hard emotionally!

Ah bless ya. The simple fact that you are worrying just proves that you are in no way at all a bad mummy!! If you were a bad mummy you wouldn't even be thinking about it so dont worry. I think any of us would have done the same in your situation, i know i would!! Don't worry about her not crawling, they all do things at their own pace. My DS is dragging himself around the floor but not crawling yet. My niece didn't crawl until she was 1 & she's absolutely fine so please dont worry.

Hope you enjoyed your wine & managed to relax xxxx

STOP WORRYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are a fab mummy, you do your best for your baby and love her to pieces!!! So what if she has had a few jars of food this week instead of homemade fresh organic home grown in the garden food!!! She is happy and healthy! OK she maybe hasnt had as much tummy time as you would have liked, but in a few months time she will still be running around mad. It doest make you a bad mummy, it makes you a normal mummy!

All babies have off days, and all mummies have stressed days but try and stop worrying and enjoy her. I look at my 4 nearly 5 year old and can hardly remember him when he was tiny, all i remember was stressing all the time if he didnt eat/sleep/poo at the right time and panicking in case people thought i was anything less than wonder mum, of course being a yummy mummy at the same time. Ive realised now that it really doesnt matter and if like yesterday, ,my kids were in their jammies all day and eat pizza and chips then so be it!!!!

Sending you chilled ,mummy vibes

Adam spends lots of time on the floor and has shown no signs of crawling! He doesn't commando crawl, or attempt to pull himself up. He just sits and plays!

You're NOT a bad mummy. Teething is horrible and you do anything you can to make your baby happy and comfortable. If that involves chocolate buttons, then so be it! As you said in one of your other posts, they are a good source of calcium!

I feel like a terrible Mummy lots of the time too. This past week I have been trying to settle Adam into nursery and it has been hell! He has just cried and cried and refused to eat. I feel like all the staff were wondering what on earth was wrong with him! I am probably going to leave him with a nanny instead, but I still feel like the world's worst mum for going back to work when I should be taking care of him.

As far as I can tell there is always something to make you question what you're doing as a mummy. But our babies will be fine, and we'll look back on this in 18 years time (gulp!) and laugh...

I hope you have a lovely day today to make up for last night xxx

Thanks ladies you are lovely, really lovely!
Ladybird I think it really must be teething as izzy woke up last night screaming like I have never heard before I was just glad my hubby is here as he walked the floor with her and managed to calm her down! I hope Emily is feeling a bit better and that your nights settle down again too!

Cath I am so sorry you are having such a crap time trying to find a nursery I am lucky enough to have my mum taking my baby but even that fills me with dread! (and she loves my mum!!!) I am thinking of you and you are doing the right thing for your little man do not doubt yourself!

Thanks agains ladies really appreciate it! Xxx

Emily seems a bit better tonight, i counted four teeth on the move this morning! None of them have popped through yet but they are close! I just wish they'd hurry up

Hope izzy gets some relief from this horrible teething business soon! X

Hope you have had a better day today Hun xx

I was upset a couple of days ago cos DD has been waking once in the night recently for god knows what reason and I was saying to my mum that I have to stop feeding her in the night otherwise it will become a habit again after sleeping through so well. My mum said "just feed her, it obviously comforts her and you get to go back to bed and everything will sort itself out". So that night I did exactly that, I fed DD, went straight back to bed and woke up this morning a new woman and therefore a better mummy for it!! Just do whatever makes izzy happy, it will only be for a few days then she will be back to her normal self then it will happen all over again another week and next time she will be wanting fruit pastilles or something!!
