thought it might be nice to have an update on how our little babys are getting on?

Oliver was 8 weeks old on monday, he will be 2 months on sunday really dont know where the time is going.
He was weighed at his 8 week check yesterday and he is 10lb 11 on the 25th centile for his weight, height and head circumference so perfectly in proportion lol. He also had his first jabs yesterday, it was quite funny as i was feeding him as the needle went in and he stopped feeding for a second and i braced myself for the screams, he looked straight at the nurse as if to say 'do you mind' then carried on feeding bless him, the only one of my 3 that didnt cry at all.
He has been sleeping through for about 3 weeks now and is full of smiles and little chuckles, he is also trying his hardest to roll but can only get 3/4 of the way before he gives up and tries again. He is a proper little chatterbox aswell and is quite good at mimicking sounds, dp is convinced that he is really saying hello lol.
He is having a few problems with his skin atm, he gets so dry but the gp prescribed him some creams so hopefully they will do the job.

Hi Sammie, great idea....

DD is 10 weeks tomorrow and she now weighs 10lb 3oz. She hasn't been putting on much weight since she's been on the lactose free formula but the HV doesn't seem concerned. She was only 7lb 2oz at birth so I guess she's still not doing too badly. Since 5 weeks when she was diagnosed as lactose intolerant and put on the formula she's gone from strength to strength. We've had 2 full nights until 6:30 and that's only been this week up until then she was waking at 3/4. But the last 3 nights she's woken at 5. This week has been the 1st week we've stopped feeding at night. We're getting there but not quite there yet... She's a happy little baby always smiling away and we have great little conversations together. She was also very good with her jabs, she cried for a few seconds and then went to sleep! So far I'm taking her to Baby Massage but she doesn't seem too impressed. I'm hoping to take her to Baby Sensory soon but there's a waiting list.

we're taking her on holiday next month so just hoping and praying she stays being so good! xxxx

Ethan is 6 weeks (7 in two days)
So we haven't had his 8 week check up yet....

At the last HV visit (around 5 weeks) he was 13lb 8oz, he is bang on his weight for the 98th (yep.. he is that big)
Found out today, need to start putting him in some 3-6 month clothes soon.... (lucky have just got everything other then a big coat and some long sleeves baby gros for him) so that sorted... just mean need to start getting 6-9 month clothes now...

His sleeping at night hasn't been to bad... tend to go to 'real' sleep between 10-11.30 (he will nap most of the evening...) Sleep till 4-5 (was 3-4 but the last few nights he has been going longer) and will wake for the day around 6.30 (cos daddy's wakes him up when he gets up for work) but at weekend will be anything from 7.30 to 9

He moves lots... likes to 'dance' to music.... he knows me... when I say 'Hello baby' first thing or when he not seen me for a bit... he brakes into a huge smile that brakes my heart.
He is a fairly happy baby (other when over tired or hungry) he is also a chatterbox, he has this bear hanging on the changing mat arch which I think is his first friend... he is always "chatting" away to it... he is sooooo happy there... (made my husband cry today over how sweet it is)

He likes to sit up (with mummy's help) and he can hold his own head up....
He loves me singing at the top of my voice and loves sitting on my knee (I am holding his arms) and we do 'Row Row Row the boat' with me doing the motions with his arms.

He has watch around 30 mins in TV in total. (well maybe a little more... he seems to watch Glee with me the other day) but seem to like the music and bright colours on telly.... so may be able to get him to watch more in the future so I can get a bit of housework done each day... as he is clingy to me... (dont it wont be a tv babysitter.... just a bit each day)

I read him his books, not that keen,.... but getting him started early.... he does look at one book (the free start 'free' book with baby black and white pictures)

He has started reaching out and grabbing things a little (although he isn't meaning to.... and it tends to be my hair)

he has colic and can suffer nappy rash very easy....

Oh my god.... reading this back.... I think I may be obsessed.... just a little

Great idea

Daniel is 11 weeks on Sunday and 2 weeks ago he was 12lb 15oz and on the 50th centile. He is currently on hungry baby and has been for about 3 weeks and is having about 7oz every 3-4 hours. He has only been having one feed a night since about 4 weeks (maybe 3, not 100% sure), and in the last week he has been having a feed between 8pm-9pm the sleeping until 6am-7am, which is brilliant. Though he does wake a couple of times wanting his dummy to be put back in, but he goes back to sleep after 10 minutes. He has been tested for lactose intolerance and it came back negative which was a huge relief, however, I think he needs to be tested for milk allergy (milk protein intolerance) as his symptoms are more like that than LI, so will be speaking to doctor on Monday, and he also has really dry skin which he has oilatum and epaderm for. Daniel is having a lot more awake time now but doesn't like playing for long, and isn't even really happy being walked round with or held, he still whines regardless. Harrison is fantastic with him still (I thought the novelty would have worn off by now and he would be fed u with him), he's so loving to him and always giving him kisses and cuddles, and loves helping to do things for him. Daniel is a proper little chatterbox, which mw said is a sign he will be a good little talker he loves sitting up and looking round and is brilliant holding his head up.

We try getting out as much as possible and like walking Harrison to school and back home cos it gives Daniel a good sleep, and we are all full of cold at the moment so I thought the fresh air would do us all good. It does set my spd off though, and my legs are killing me, but it's good excercise I suppose

I still can't believe how quickly time is going! This time last year none of us were even pregnant, now we have our wonderful babas

@ Sammi&theboys...
We just had to start Ethan on hungry baby on his formula top ups... only using just before bed time mainly... as he was drinking himself silly (on both boobie and formila milk) then puking the lot up... Seem to have done the trick

Agree... me and hubby was only saying how only seems like yesterday we came home with him.... time is going quickly indeed!

Fab thread...

A is 6 and 2 days weeks old and at his last weigh in (3 days ago) he was 12lb 6oz and bang on target - he has his own line on the graph  We've had to start putting him in 3-6 month old clothes today and have sorted through all his 0-3 clothes as majority are too small, it's mainly Next stuff that he'll be able to wear that little bit longer. I though the 3-6 stuff would be massive on him, but nope he actually looks quite good (even if I do say so myself  )

DS currently has 6oz every 3/4 hours though I've a feeling that it's going to be 7oz very soon (seeing as I've just had to make a little bit more up for him after he drained his 6oz bottle) DS tends to have his last bottle anything between 9pm and 10.30pm depending on when he's fed in the day and was then waking arond 1amish and only having half an ounce, so after speaking to HV we now give him water when he wakes at this time as it seems that he is waking for comfort rather than food. He then wakes around 3/4am for a 4oz feed, and then 7/8ish for another 4oz feed (though sometimes he'll take 6oz )and we tend to get up for the day. From the next feed until bed time he'll have his 6oz.

He's awake much more now which is nice, genrally for around 1 1/2hrs after a feed and is really begining to chat to us which I just love. he's very nosey and likes to be looking around. I love the fact he knows who is mommy is and if someone else is holding him and I start talking he immediatly looks for me. He is a real smiler and it melts my heart everytime, even at 4am

We too try to get out as much as possible, and go to 3 groups a week which we both enjoy. I'm hoping to start the parent and baby swimming group very soon too, just hope DS enjoys it!

Rebecca is 7 weeks old now and doing great. She's exclusively breasstfed and we haven't had any problems so far. She feeds every 2-3 hours during the day but is now sleeping through the night from 12-6 which is great, long may it continue!

She's a great baby, so happy and content, so smiley.

I had my 1st night out last nght and hubby managed to give her EBM via bottle- up until then she'd take a bottle from me but not him, me being away meant she had no option. I loved the freedom but won't be doing it again for a while as I don't think hubs and Rebecca enjoyed it as much as me!

Last weigh in was at 5 weeks where she was 9lb1oz, she'll be weighed again tomorrow be interesting to see how much she's gained, she's still in her next up to 1 month clothes and the 0-3 are way too big but the newborn a bit too snug- so sad packing her tiny clothes away.

Isaac will be 6 weeks tomorrow. At his last weighing (on Wednesday) he was 10lb2oz and I expect tomorrow he'll have put on a fair bit more. He's just so long and even some of his 0-3m clothes are getting too short for him in the leg. He's still exclusively breastfed.

He's sleeping pretty well, waking usually only once in the night about 2/3am then he'll sleep again until 7/8am. I put him down around 8pm and then "dream feed" around 10pm. He's not so great at napping during the day. Almost as if he's worried about missing something.

In the last week he's discovered his smiles and laughs a lot. He's made friends with his Lamaze beaver and is quite happy to chat away to this in the morning when I jump into the shower.
