For those of you who are BF, how long is your LO feeding for in each sitting? Are you offering one, or both breasts?

mainly for aorund 20-30minutes, although sometimes can be a good 45minutes, or just 10..not very helpful i know, sorry....i usually just offer the one breast, which is usually enough for her, and if she's only had a feed 10 minutes prior, or the previous feed was only a very quick 10minutes or under, then i'll put her back to the same breast, very rarely does she need both boobs, but i know some babies do. x

with ds, he only ever fed for 10minutes at a time, so i used to feed him, change hisnappy, then go back to the same breast again, and he'd go for another 10 minutes, otherwise he'd want feedng every30-60minutes as was just snacking...hht x

It depends. I just let her feed as often and as long as she likes. During the day her feeds tend to be shotrer than in the evening. But it differs day to day.

I give one breast for a feed but if she seems hungry withing the next half hour or so I offer the other. I prefer doing this as i don't like the lopsided feeling you get when you just offer one.

If i were to guess i'd say she feeds 5 mins each side during the day maybe 10-15 mins in the evening. When she is awake she feeds a lot though just not in the 1 sitting.

She's went from 6lb7oz to 8lb3 in just over 3 weeks so it's obviously doing the job.

Milly can be anything from 5 min on one boob (and then she's done) to 10 - 15 min on each boob. Like Littlewolves - I just see how hungry she seems and go with it. xxx

I'm sure the wee man is having a growth spurt. He's wanting boob every couple hours and refusing to sleep

Avie's feeds are usually about an hour... Does that seem wrong?
I've been a little worried about this, but she seems to be latched on alright. It's not hurting me or anything.

mn88 that seems absolutely fine.
Although my LO's feeds are relatively short- they are frequent, probably hourly for 3 or 4 hours before she sleeps.

Ok thanks. I don't mind the feeds taking that long as long as there is nothing wrong.
