I thought I'd lost Rhys how bad a Mummy am I. I was looking after my neighbours children as she's just had a baby and had a section so thought I'd give her a little break. I must have been crazy I had a 5yrold, 3yr old, 2 2yr olds and a 7 week old lol) As it's so lovely I thought get all the garden toys out and give them a runaround. One of the boys went climbing up the steps at the side so went to get him back and when I turned round Rhys had gone. Ib was looking all over, half the neighbours were looking too. The little monkey had hidden in the little shed under the steps (we're in flats) I was so relieved to find him. I just burst into tears not stopped crying since (though seem to be doing an awful lot of that lately but that's just a whole different thread lol) I just feel so bad for letting him out of my sight. Please tell me I'm not the only one who's been a "bad" mummy

Had an awful moment like that where Oakley after picking him up from the cm ran into the road. His never done anything like it before. And not only that mummy who was picking up her 9 month old [I met for the first time just then] saw it and was really smug, fake worried with the whole 'aren't you a bad mummy I'd never let my child do that' look in her eye. Cried in the car all the way home.

Awww hun, you are not a bad mummy!!! Sounds like you had more than your hands full! Bren is a real cheeky monkey lately too and will run off without a thought, you have to have eyes in the back of your head! Hubby and I had a moment with him in the supermarket a few weeks ago where we both thought he was with the other one. Bren was pushing a little kiddy trolley that they have over here with a big tall flag on the top thankfully so we could see which aisle he was in but we found him helping himself to some pick and mix!!! A shop assistant was watching him laughing and said not to worry he had only managed to get one sweet out!!
So scary though when you think you have lost them.

Hope you are doing ok, it is hard work having a little baby and a toddler so not surprised you are feeling emotional. We're all here if you need a moan. Big hug coming your way, really glad Rhys is ok xxxx

Ah Becci you poor thing. Hope youre feeling a little better. And you are doing a gret job with both boys, no way a bad Mummy!
I have lost sight of Elijah too. Our garden is a communal one and has a big slope at the end which isnt cordoned off. Usually he will never go beyond his little playhouse and knows that. But one time i popped indoors to grab something and then couldnt see him anywhere. Its so scary
Like Liz said, we're always here for a talk or rant xxx

I think i am probably the worse - Noah is always runnning off or escaping and I've lost count of the times i've forgotton he's even with me and that i'm supposed to be watching him! how bad is that!! normally in places like the school playground where he is quite safe while we wait to collect zach and i'll suddenly think oh my god wheres noah? and he'll be right in front of me!
the other day i had a little jolt of wheres noah and he wasn't even with me - i'd left him with mil!
Last week though we went to a leisure park/attraction and he was such a little monkey - kept just walking off to play on something else! had one very scary moment the first time he did it where i just couldn't see him at all and i hadn't even noticed he'd gone, the friend i was with said where's noah and i was like he's there but he wasn't he'd walked straight past us and gone on to the next thing but we just couldn't see him at all. at home he's so clingy at the moment he won't let me out of his sight and yet when we were at this place which he is quite familiar with cos we go a lot he was just off and doing his own thing. normally i don't mind too much cos its quite enclosed and i can see where he is but because it was easter it was busy and there was loads of people about.
He doesn't listen to me either if i say noah stop or noah come back he just carries on.

No, you're not the only one! Our scariest moment was on hols nearly 2 year ago when Alfie got caught up with the crowd leaving the dolphin show (about 500+) and disappeared. 4 adults looking for him whilst also keeping 3 other kids in one place in 40deg heat was not fun! And we'd lost the buggy! Nightmare!
These kiddies need tagging! lol

oh hun it's happened to the best of us (ie me  ) just last week I thought Max had followed my mum and walked out of a cafe but he was no where in sight he had bloody well gone exploring down corridors! But it makes your heart SINK doesn't it!

Life's too short to spend time with people you don't care about!
