Gracie's latest trick is weeing on my when I've taken her out of the bath! The wet patch looks like i've done it tho!
On a more serious, non-weeing-on-mummy, developmental note, she's discovered her hands this week, staring at her clenched fists like they're Orlando Bloom's gorgeous bod!

Alfies just discovered his hands. Its so funny to watch as he studies them before shoving them in his mouth but sometimes he misses his mouth because hes too busy concentrating on them!
Not good on the wee though ali- you must be the chosen one lol!

Where is baby tv?

Cole has rediscovered his hands..he used to suck them really loudly but stopped.. and now he sucks again. He hasn't started to bat at things yet but I did fasten one of his toys on his wrist and I'm just washing the wrist rattle I bought. He does look at stuff though and follow things when you wave them around. He kicks and splashesi n the bath..he makes me laugh he looks so chilled out laying back in his bath support! He has started smiling more in response to us which is nice Well I hope its smiling because of us!!

I think baby tv is on Sky 623.... I used to put it on occasionally to try and get Ophelia to sleep (at times she would still be awake at midnight) - it didn't always work for her but it usually put me to sleep within a very short space of time!!

Last week Bryn was gurgling in his bouncy chair, I went to pick him up and his eyes lit up and he gave me a huge grin and start cooing at me - my heart melted - think I'm getting all sopey in my old age! Then it happened again when Ophelia gave me a huge hug while we were out and said 'I love you mummy, you're gorgeous', she's said it before but at the time I was feeling a bit down and it just made everything alright again.... Kids can be very trying but at times like that it just makes everything all worth while!

Baby TV sends me to sleep too!! Philip particularly likes Little Ball which is on at 9.15pm but as he's npw in bed by then i need to find it at another time!!

His wee wee trick is after his wash in the morning, i dry him, talc his bum & bits reach for the unfolded ready to go nappy and he widdles, then laughs as i'm trying to grab a towel or muslin or the disposable change mat, so we go through the whole process again (a bit quicker) and he does it again! The record is 3 times in succession!! Only had one day of the 3 p's (pee-pee, poopies and puke!) but he did the puke all over my only pair of clean jeans that actually fit!

He's been smiling for a few weeks now and the intensity of the smile varies according to who he's smiling at, he's started to laugh and we've had the odd real belly laugh, usually when trying to have a serious conversation which results in the adults totally cracking up at him, but the more we laugh at him the more he does it!

Still not quite got the hang of the toy thing but he has worked out that if he kicks his legs in the bouncer the toys on the toy bar shake, now he grabs one side of the arch with his hand to make the swing a bit more worthwhile! He has worked out about hands, he thinks they are food! he's taken to sucking his thumb when he's tired, although sometimes it's 2 fingers as well!

Cole was interested in baby tv on the pc upstairs but when i tried to interest him on the laptop to distract him so we could have lunch he so was not interested.

over the weekend he seems to have started vocalising more - he burbles and makes noises off and on which is cute.

His other newish trick is to be an absolute sod over napping in the daytime..he fights sleep so badly!!! I hope he settles down next week once hubby is back at work otherwise I'll get nothing done!

Jack has started making some cute talking sounds and stares at his hsnds before he tries to stuuf his whole hand in his mouth.
Kia Jack fights sleep during the day too he has 5 mins then realises hes dropped off and wakes up! The plus side is after his bath at night he rubs his eyes has a cuddle and goes to bed for 9 hours!

Lily has also discovered her arms and legs and loves waving them around all the time! Shes lovin the babygym we got her yesterday, so cute smiling and gurgling at all the dangly animals. Is there anything as heartwarming as your baby's smile?! Lily is always so smiley in the morning - what a wonderful way to start a day! As for wees and poos, shes stopped all those tricks now but she was sick on my face the other morning - nice mmmmmm!

Bryn has actually discovered sleep (touch wood)!!! For the past 3 nights hes slept from 11 til 5 then had a small feed before going back to sleep Unfortunatly hubby had to go away for a few days so I had to take eldest to the train station each morning for 7:15 (its the only way he can get to school) so I had to wake the los up not something I enjoyed doing! Bryn's started smiling in the morning now too - which is lovely - its probably because he's actually getting a decent sleep for once.

Thankfully he hasn't been sick on my face - everywhere else but not there (yet!) He did have a mega poo (tmi?) on sunday which covered the bottom half of his vest, filled his trousers, a sock and made a huge mess on his bouncy chair - lovely!! I think he must have timed it - hubby had just gone out and his sister had started to whinge! Perfect timing!

I went to kiss Jack when he was on his mat yesterday and he thought it would be funny to be sick just as mummy kissed him!!!
27/02/2008 at 14:54
Ooh yacky lil monsters!
Well done Bryn - keep it up for mummy! The sleep that is, not the mega poos!
Doesn't it make a lovely change when they wake up full of smiles and not screaming to be fed!? Gracie lets me get dressed and get her ready before her 1st feed, and that's after 12 hours sleep. During the day she can scream blue murder if her bottles not there every 3 hours! Strange huh?!

lol Ema that was a mega poo!!
Brendan did a projectile poo the other day in the early hours, after the vester he did a week or so ago I try and change him quickly as soon as he does a poo to stop any leaks! This time it was 4am and as I was about to put a clean nappy on I lifted hislegs to put it underneath and poo shot out of his bum over the changing mat and onto the pile of clean baby clothes that were on the single bed in his nursery!!! I couldn't believe it, how can such a small baby get such force from his bum lol! I even woke my hubby up to come and witness what his son had done. Little bugger was all smiles as we were cleaning it up! I always change him the other way round on the mat now so if he does it again he will just hit the door or the laminate floor!

At least we will have some fab stories for their 18th!! x

Well done Bryn on the sleeping!
Cole dribbled all over hubbys face the other day..hubby was very grossed out! He peed all over me too - the only reason it didn't go all over hte carpet was cause I was leaning over and it hit my dressing gown!!! Honestly - my dressing gown has been washed more times since Cole arrived than since I bought it!!!

I'm impressed with Brendans projectile poo though!! And a little scared!

I'm such an idiot...me and hubby both commented the other day on Cole having his hands held out in front of him a lot and I only just realised today that its probably cause he's just discovered them! Doh!

Philip finally did me proud today and puked over daddy!! serves him right though, chinese proverb say "baby who just been fed should not be bounced around" he's learnt his lesson now though!!!

I now leave Philip for a few minutes after a poo cos you can be sure that if i go to change it straight away he will do more, usually when i have his legs in the air!! I put him in his dungarees on sunday to which he screamed, don't think he wanted to wear them, took him down for his breakfast bottle and he did his morning poo, nothing unusual, till i thought my leg feels warm, warmer than normal, felt his leg, which felt squelchy so slid my hand up his trouser leg.... yep, poopie all down his leg!! the only item of clothing that survived was his socks so he got his own way and out of wearing the dungarees!!!
27/02/2008 at 18:58
Cole can beat Philip on the dungarees!! He got through 2 pairs on Monday!! It wasn't poo though, only wee - I'm not sure how he managed to pee out the back of his nappy though but his back was pretty wet! I was using reusable nappies though so maybe I did something dumb like leaving the liner stuck out a tiny bit..

I've learned to leave Cole after pooing too..less messy that way. When he's finally done he usually starts whinging so then its time to change him!
