Thought Id keep the post going...

How independent is your LO?

Oaks can now (most of the time) pull down his pants, trousers, sit himself on the toilet, get off and wash and dry his hands. He CAN do it but much prefers to be lazy and let us do it for him. We haven't encouraged him to wipe his bottom, is anyone doing this?

He is also beginning to get himself dressed and undress with help from me with getting arms out of sleves, head through if tight, trousers over bottom.

He climbs in and out of the car, I just do the seatbelt.

Would be nice to know how all the other 3 nearly 3 yr olds are :\)

Hiya,

Brendan is getting pretty good, he goes to the loo/ potty without needing any help to get his pants or trousers down and can pull them back up again too. He can wipe his bum too but I usually give it another wipe afterwards just incase!
When he gets dressed in the morning it depends on how much of a rush we are in but I try and let him do as much himself as possible. Usually at the most I am just holding his pants or trousers for him to step into, and he then pulls them up.
Bren also climbs into the car and into his car seat by himself and we just fasten his seatbelt for him.

Can't believe our babies are going to be 3 soon! xx

Rhys goes to the toilet hoimself but sometimes needs help with buttons on his pants and washes his hands himself. He does wipe his bum but not properly soI always do it after too, but since being little he's always wiped his bum after seeing anyone on the toilet ha ha.
He does like to get himself dressed, although does struggle getting his head arms in the right holes lol.
I still put him in the car as never crossed my mind to let him do it himself may start letting him though soon as it kills my back with my 3dr car lol

Boo, Roo & Alfie too

Gracie is Miss Independent! She needs lifting up to the sink but does everything else herself, but I wipe after too!

Hmmm well as desperate as he is to be Ble to Max is too small to get on and off the loo himself so we generally are still on the potty in the lounge, it also makes it FAR easier for me if I am feeding Jack etc. He does pants and trousers himself but botty wiping is definitely still adult domain as the couple of times he's tried has led to a rather brown hand lol! Needs help turning taps on and off. Getting dressed he can do bar buttons and he struggles with getting long sleeves on or off!

Life's too short to spend time with people you don't care about!
