Or am I the one? Orla is now 5 months old and still bf. She is going 4 hours (usually) between feeds so I haven't really felt the need to start yet. I'm really looking forward to it, but of course don't want to rush her so I'll just wait till she seems to need more.

I've not started yet, Micah is 20 weeks now and weighs over 19lbs. He's 100% bf, and HV said that although he is big there's no need to start weaning til he's 6 months so that's the plan.

Nope, not started yet. Joe has been practising with food (holding and playing with). He is 21 weeks and exclusivley bf. I'm really proud to say that. I grew him for 9 months and sustained him for 5 months. Aren't we amazing??/

Persia, wow 19lbs that's fantastic!
Loobylou, I've also been letting Orla practice. I give her a large carrot stick from the fridge, she gnaws away it to relieve her gums and screams if she drops it!

Yes LoobyLou it's really amazing :\)

Thanks Mummy Cat, I'm really chuffed. He was only 7lbs 7ozs at birth but just keeps getting chubbier & chubbier! Everyone who meets him is shocked how young he is, he looks double his age.

Keep up the good work ladies!

Hiya, Fraser's 5 months and 100% breastfed too. It's so amazing to think we've made every inch of our beautiful babies isn't it. We're going to do baby led weaning staring at 6 months. I'm getting quite excited now. He's getting really good at putting toys in his mouth so hopefully he'll get on well with food too. xxx

We are doing BLW which my mum just doesn't get! Last night she was spoonfeeding her banoffee pie GRrrrrr!

However, we have started, but like you say just practising with food but Isabelle is getting it to her mouth and having a good suck, she cried when we did not give her any to join in with, so we know she is ready.

She is not joining us at every meal, just as and when she is awake, and has a pice of carrot, a lump of meat etc once its on the floor then its gone!

She loves fruit, and always has some when we are down for Yoga on a weds, but I think it's just the social side of eating she is learning for now, as nothing has got through her nappy yet!

George is nearly 23 weeks and still only has milk. He was bf until 16 weeks when I was forced to give up due to him having bad allegies to my milk (HV said he was the first baby she had seen in 30 years that couldn't tolerate his mothers milk, it had to be him didn't it?!) .

Anyway we're waiting until 6 months to do BLW, hopefully we'll have seen a dietician by then too.
