I was talking to a friend of mine who works on a labour ward, she was telling me that oregano and basil starts labour! I was telling her I was goiong to try and eat eggplant parmigiana near my DD, and she said that its the herbs that kick start labour around 48hr's after eating it.

Anyone tried it or know anybody who has tried it??

I searched induction on you tube a few days ago and a video came up about a woman going to a particular restaurant in America where apparently they're famous for loads of women going into labour after having their aubergine parmagiana. Could well be something in it? x

Yes, certain herbs and spices are known to kick start labour (hence why they tell you to avoid spicy foods). Of course it's the same old your body needs to be heading towards labour naturally for the best effect but you'll find these two named foodtypes in many curries and pasta dishes, on pizzas and loads of the food we're meant to avoid (unless trying to kickstart things)
