Hi ladies, saw my midwife yesterday she didnt really have a clue if the baby was breach or not, they have being telling me for 10 week that he as being...i would of thought that a midwife would be able to make out where all body parts are..
.
anyway am going for a scan next friday..does anybody no w
hat they do if the babys still breach??????????????? i will be 37 weeks next sat.....

I don't no if anybody no thats one born every minute are filming at the LGI, my hospital where i am giving birth...i have had two ladies on channel 4 come up to asking me if i want to be on the show which is airing in January. Well i thought about it but the answer was no..i couldnt possible imagine giving birth on tv, especially with a first baby not knowing what to expect.

Anyway the lady from channel 4 said alot of people go on the show for reasons such as...if they've have had trouble conceiving, or they there baby has something wrong with it or simplie because they just want to be on tv....anyway my answer was nooooo!!

FAO- Cutie pie, have you being asked the same thing wasn't sure if your having baby at LGI

Hi Sparkle!

I'd have thought they should be able to tell if baby is breech.... strange. At least you will get another scan!! They may try and turn him if he is?? I really don't know.....

We have been severely pestered by OBEM!!! We've had lots and lots of phone calls and emails from a woman who recruits. They are wanting to film a homebirth and as we are booked for a homebirth and this is baby number 2 (I know what to expect apparently!) it makes us ideal for the series. But we have also said it's an outright no!! after saying no a couple of times they left us alone!

I love One Born Every Minute but would NEVER go on it myself! Can't believe they've hassled you though - no means no!
As for being breech, it is strange she couldn't tell. You'll prob be offered ECV to try and turn baby, and they'll prob advise a ceasarian is you refuse, or if it doesn't work. You've got time yet though, my friend had a breech baby at 36 weeks, was advised to have a caesarian, but when they scanned her before giving her a caesarian date just before 38 weeks he'd got into the right position.
As my midwife would advise - no slouching! Use your ball if you have one, and make sure you lean forward when you're sitting down, and keep your knees lower than your hips.
(thought i'd try a colour too! )

haha i like colour
and yes i thought she would of being able to tell but they never really no... but i think had raver had a c section now cos i have got problem downstairs with the vains and piles and i really don't want them to get any worse :? plus labour looks scary.

My friend said she got pestered from them on OBEM but i have only being asked once.
I suppose they really would want u cutie pie cos your having a home birth...it is a very personal show and its more about your life than having a baby x

Hope all goes well Sparkle, it does seem strange MW couldn't tell but then your LO could be laying like my DD used to do with her feet and arms stretched above her head. If baby is breech after 36wks you'll normally be offered an ECV or booked in for c-sec. You can still encourage baby to turn though, it usually happens when you're relaxed so laying on bed or sofa on your lefthand side or having a warm bath and then getting on all fours with your head lowered are thought to be best positions to encourage turning.

As for OBEM, they have adverts up in my hospital for this alongside the 'mum's behaving badly' like they really expect us all to phone up just to be on telly. Oddly enough it was 'four weddings' who hounded me after I went to a wedding fair with my sis. Had to politely tell them (3 times non the less) that I was already married and that my sister was the one getting married and that no, she was not interested either. I know these people have a show to record and need numbers but don't they think those who are interested will get in touch on their own?
