I am getting so frustrated with the above! lol. I really don't know which one to get. My DS will be 23 months if this one arrives on time so I am thinking I need a tandem or a twin. Thing is, I need to think of how often I actually use the pram now for DS. He is at childminders in the morning til around 3pm, so the only time he goes in his pushchair with me is if we go out for the day the weekends with my OH or if we pop to the shops quickly. He prefers to walk but obviously if we went on a day out (to be honest thats not that often) then he would get tired and want to be in the pushchair. And even if we were to go on a day out, there would be two of us so we could push a buggy each. I already have a Graco travel system which DS has when he was a baby and now he is in a much more lightweight and smaller one. I also have to think about the room we have in our boot, its an 07 plate fiesta so the boots aren't that big so I don't know what would fit! I dont want to waste money on buying a new tandem or twin if I'm not going to use if that often. I am getting so annoyed with it all! Only have just under 7 weeks til I'm due and I know I need to sort something out soon. What has everyone else done?

P.S Sorry for the rant!! lol xx

Yeah, I was looking at these, but ideally I'd want one where he could sit down on it if possible but I'm not sure if there is such a thing! I think I'm panicing and making myself frustrated bacuase time is slowly running out til D-Day! lol x

I've just brought one of these second hand from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHIPOLINO-EUPHORIA-DOUBLE-PUSHCHAIR-TWO-KIDS-BLUE-/220751286514?pt=UK_Baby_BabyTravel_Pushchairs_GL&hash=item3365cd50f2

You could use that when you have both of them together and then have a single pushchair that lays flat for when its just you and baby? It will last a fair while, you can use it with the carseat to begin with for baby and then in the normal seat.
I know how you feel though, I'm having a nightmare with pushchairs at the moment! Theo will be 33 months and Lily will be 23 months when baby comes. They can both walk but because I have to get Abby to school and Theo to nursery which are both a mile away and I don't drive getting one of them to walk all the time isn't an option. I think I'm going to just get a sling for baby.

We have just caved in and bought a double and what swayed us in to this particular one is that the second seat is removable, so when DS won't go in it any more we can use it as a single. We debated using our two singles but if I am out with the children on my own, it would be sods law that DS would not want to walk that day!! xx

have you considered a buugy board?
i bought a double last time but ds1 never used it (unless it was chucking it down & i forced him in  )
the buggy board was great he used it when his legs got tired & its a tad more compact than a double pushchair
ds1 was 2yrs when ds2 was born, they're both october babies

id love a phil & teds BUT ds2 hasnt used a pushchair since the summer.... its not even worth the fight anymore  he walks everywhere. so i cant argue the extra seat fact and the pram/pushchair/car seat thingy we bought for ds1 is still in great condition (well the car seat is new as i sold the old one...oops... but kept the pc.seat & pram top)
most i will get away with is a new buggy once baby3 is out growing th epram as the wheels to it are HUGE & take up the whole boot  so hubby will get fed up with it
its the mpx system from mamas&papas..... from back in the day when we had money to blow

You can get buggy boards where they can sit down. I have seen them (Ill have a search see if I can find them). We have gone for a Britax b-dual. It folds up pretty small for a double - fits in the boot of my clio. My ds will be approx 27months when this baby arrives and I dont think I could not have a double. He is very lazy and wants to be carried alot.

Will your son still be at the childminders when you are on mat leave? Will you be going out and about more when you are on mat leave?

i like the phil and teds by my ds was too big for the front seat when in newborn + toddler mode and the seats dont recline in doubles mode which is my we have gone with the Britax.

I found it really hard to decide too! Could you wait and see how it goes once baby is here? You can get hold of a pushchair pretty quickly.

I guess another option is a baby carrier for the occasions your lo wont walk...

We were the same, couldn't decide what to go for! I have a bigger age gap though almost 28 months. DS is a good walker but does get tired sometimes. I decided to go with a buggyboard as we have a bugaboo pram which I want to use again. We also have a lightweight pushchair for ds so I plan to use a sling when ds is in that.
That was the plan but then I saw a fab bargain secondhand out n about nipper twin so had to have it! Such a great price and i'll use it on the few occasions we need a double and then sell it on! TBH I don't think we'll use it much with a 28 month age gap.

Could you go with a cheap double and buggyboard if you need it? Or you could wait til baby has arrived and see what will work best for you then. Good luck deciding! x
