40 weeks midwife app

How's everyone feeling? Im in so much pain with my pelvis im just ready to get her out now!!!

Ive got my 40 week midwife app on my due date! Does anyone know if midwife will give a sweep on your due date?

My midwife refuses to sweep on due date because she says it is not effective at that stage. She will only sweep at or beyond 41 weeks (that said my baby is not even engaged so she wont be soing a sweep for me anyway!)

Hmmm, I'm getting a sweep the day after my DD from my consultant, but I've been engaged for ages, if it's not effective I'm not going to be happy but my midwife has said nothing to the contrary :?

My midwife offered a sweep at 39+6 but I refused.
I strongly suspect I will be letting her do it at my next appointment tho!
I'm 4/5ths engaged so not sure if that makes a difference

Thanks ladies!

Ive beem engaged for a while now and im in so much pain with it so fingers crossed she will! but we shal see tomorrow unless my little ladie decides to come today/night! which i dont think its gonna happen

I have my 40 week app tomorrow with my midwife and she has asked if I would like a sweep tomorrow so I have said YES PLEASE!!! :lol:

She has said that it is no gaurentee but so so so ready to meet baby now im prepared to try anything!!
