Hi,

I had my 38 midwife app yesterday and the baby is 3/5 engaged so nearly there! I told my midwife about my pains in my pelvis and how im really starting to struggle and did she care? Nope not the slightest her response was it will all go when baby arrives. I was in so much pain with it last night i had to crawl to the loo!!!

G/C from DIS but am sorry to hear of your discomfort. I think most MW's assume that by wk 36 we're all on mat leave and spend all day lounging with our feet up so should put up with any pain. Some suggestions that may help are either a hot water bottle or a cold compress with jasmine oil applied (jasmine is also good at easing labour pains). Best wishes.

Getting the clothes out of the dryer I put a wonderfully hot towel underneath my bump and the relief was immediate, give it a go!! I know how you feel, I'm just supposed to put up with my random contractions whenever they happen, getting my hopes up and then nothing and be fine with this, like I don't have better things to do that sit in agony 1-5 hours a night and keeping hubby up at night. But I guess pregnancy was never going to be easy

You poor thing, nothing worse than a totally unsympathetic ear when all you want is a bit of support. Really hope your little one comes very soon and you get some relief. Does a warm bath help you at all? xx

Im having about 2-3 hot baths a day. . . they help sometimes! I think last night was just a bad night. . . .Fingers crossd!

Thanks ladies i will try all u have suggest and hope something works!

My point to the midwife was i still have 11 days until due date and could go 2 weeks over and there is no way i can cope with this pain for that amount of time . . . but we will see!
