.....once baby is here.

Been thinking about this today and apart from the obvious, ie, being a mummy and a little, long awaited for family unit, the other things I'm looking forward to doing are, in no particular order....

sleeping on my back and front again
getting out of bed easier
getting in and out of the bath
painting toe nails again
shaving legs again
getting up out of the sofa without help
getting rid of swollen feet
getting rid of carpel tunnel syndrome
getting my figure back and wearing my lovely old clothes
being able to walk further and without foot pain
not getting up for a wee about 3-4 times in the night
being able to eat and drink whatever I fancy
not being sooo emotional all the time

I have probably missed loads...anyone else care to add?

to be able to poo normally too! i have spend the last 8 months with constipation and the last 2 days with the runs, not nice!

Well I'll enjoy

rolling over in bed without being in complete agony
sitting up in bed without my pelvis cracking back into place
being able to walk rather than waddle
being able to fasten my shoes/sandals
I too long to poo normally I've had the squits the whole time even on daily iron tablets and paracetamol

I am with everyone on the can't wait to sleep on back again, moving over in bed without it hurting, not weeing 4 times a night... again I know we'll be sleep deprived through looking after a baby but at least we'll be more comfy! Right now I feel sleep deprived and in pain!

I can't wait to eat brie, pate and have a glass of vino!
I am looking forward to being able to get in and out of the car more easily, driving is getting uncomfortable...
I can't wait for our summer hols in August, although am a little nervous of plane journey with a new born and a 2 year old!

Not long now ladies till we can all enjoy these things we've said xx

I agree with most of the things you're looking forward to. Expecially turning over during the night. It's a military operation just now just to go from left to right side or vice versa. I hate the involuntary noises I seem to make while doing it too!! I'm sure MisterG thinks I'm just making the noises to try and wake him up, but I seriously can't turn over without grunting like the Wimbledon women!!
I also have a lovely pot of soft blue cheese waiting at the back of the fridge for my first snack when I get back with bubs. It's going to go down a treat!

Not having feet and hands like the elephant man and thus wearing my wedding rings again.
Getting my figure back.
Being able to sleep on my tummy

But best of all being a mum!!

GCing and just reading this it's so funny as my dd is only just over 4 weeks and yet I have forgotten all those things about being PG already - it's funny you kind of miss it when it's not there anymore!

Good luck all you DIJuly ladies - I'm looking forward to seeing all your great baby pictures!
