Hi ladies, just wondering how you feel about sex at the minute? I know this will sound really daft but I'm scared incase it affects my pregnancy, this is first pregnancy/baby so am a bit unsure! I've not lost my sex drive so it's a bit frustrating lol!!

Any thoughts? I know it's prob safe and I have googled it but just a small part of me scared!

Hi

I am feeling a bit frisky at the moment but some people post on boards that orgasms can cause miscarriage as it makes your uterus contract!!!!

I think as long as your midwife/doctor thinks its ok and you have no history of bleeding after sex etc... then go ahead.

I haven't yet since finding out and its driving my hubby crazy!!!

xx

PS: Might let him tonight if I dont feel sick!!! But I remember being PG with my son I was very frisky and the Orgasms were amazing!!

G/C but people's sex drive often changes during pregnancy from wanting little to wanting loads. Your OH will also likely share similar thoughts & concerns with your changing body with precious cargo. Baby is well cushioned in there & actually enjoys it when you orgasm which often means longer/more intense orgasms during pregnancy. It is the release of OH's semen that usually causes uterus contractions much the same as a 'sweep' though it is very rare until nearer birth as your cervix is likely to be closed.

Hey ladies

I too worried about this with my 1st but the midwife assured me that as long as I was having a normal healthy pregnancy and no history of miscarriage, bleeding etc then we could "keep calm and carry on" lol!! I have to say we had a lot of fun getting inventive the bigger I got!! Make the most of it if you can as once baby comes along it becomes really difficult!!

Hope this helps anyway

My hubby is actually the one scared of doing it! He was fine in our last pregnancy, but we have only done is twice since our BFP! Mind you it probably hasn't helped that once again the pregnancy has given my thrush (sorry TMI)...
It definitely is safe though unless you have any history of bleeding during pregnancy.
Have fun!

In my first pregnancy I was fine , prob a little too frisky fo DH but right now I am still so worried because of the bleeding I cant even think about it until I get all clear. I think once I have I will be ok, that is if i can stop feeling sick and tired for long enough! lol xx
