Hiya ladies I have been to see my Midwife today for a routine appointment.I am now 15 wks+3 days.My concern is she could'nt find a heartbeat the midwife did'nt seem to be alarmed by this and said it might just be too early or baby is very low down.I have now got another midwife appt on the 29th of june il be 17 weeks then also seeing the consultant at hospital next friday the 22nd.I have not yet felt any movement.Has anyone lees had this I haven't with my previous pregnancies.It's proberly nothing just worrying myself x

Hi, hope ur ok, It is often difficult to detect heartbeat this early by doppler.try and not worry the do say anything before 16 or 17 weeks is early. Bubs could just be in an awkward position. As for movement I was gone 20 weeks before I felt any think with first so thing you are still very early for this . I know its easier said than done but try and relax I hope the week flys by x x

I didn't think MW could detect heartbeat until after 16weeks? I wouldn't be too concerned, especially as she obviously wasn't or she would have sent you for a scan.
No movements for me yet, but again I'm not expecting this for a few more weeks yet. I can't wait to get past 30weeks?!

Thanks Undecied ,with my last pregnancies the mw could detect hb early.I'm putting it down to being fatter this time lol x

Hiya. My midwife refused to listen to baby's heartbeat at 16 week check for this very reason! She said it's very common that they can't find it so early so they don't like to try in case it causes unecessary stress. Didn't get to hear it until after my 20 week scan. Also didn't feel movements until 18 weeks, and then only very subtley. It's hard but try not to worry.
