Quick question please

So I've had my referral from the Dr's, used the on-line service to book my appointment for the infertility/gynae clinic (luckily I must have gotten a cancellation as although they said average wait was 32 days I got one for 30 July, hurrah). Anyway, I forgot to look at the timescale of the appointment - can anyone fill me in so I know how much time to book off work? Its my first referral appointment to them so is it a quick appointment, long appointment? Many thanks for any help.

Hi Hun

Have you already had any tests done?

I've had my blood tests, hubby has had his SA and now the Dr at our surgery says this is the "next stage". I know I'll eventually be having scans etc. but I just wondered if this appointment is basically a "checking in" with the infertility clinic (in which case a shortish appointment I assume)?

I think every area works slightly different - mine was a 30 minute consultation and i was asked loads of questions - everything from how often do we have sex to general health.

I was then referred for tests and once i have all of these i will go back for a 'review' and 'next steps'.

They may refer you for a ultrasound scan and more blood tests as the starting point.

You haven't posted whether you have had further clarify on your OH's SA results so he will probably also discuss this further with you.

Hope this helps

Good luck

I just got asked loads of questions and a couple of quick tests, I had to wait for a prescription though so was about an hour. Good luck! x
