Heya lovely ladies, I thought it might b a nice idea to have a thread especially for us girls TTC Clomid babies and those who are just about to start, the girls going to their first appt and would lime to ask any questions about Clomid or the fertility test etc as I know there's a few if us just starting Clomid and hopefully we can help each other out on our roads to having a baby.
And fingers crossed we can make it a lucky thread!!

Little bit about me:

I'm 27 hubby is 25
TTC about 17 months a bit before our wedding in 2009
I have PCOS
Currently on first round of Clomid
Who fancies joining me????

HI,
I am on CD19 of my second clomid cycle. I take the clomid days 2-6. No side affects. My temp and ov stick say I ov CD16 this cycle so I am in 2ww.
Was gutted that it didnt work first time last month.I cannot wait until it is my turn.

Where are you in your cycle Faye?

I am 29 OH is 28
TTC for 13 months
Have one more months prescription after this and then if it doesnt work I have another consultant appointment to see if I continue with clomid or start another route.

I'm on cd4 now Hun taking Clomid cd2-6!!
I know Iam putting a lot of pressure on this first cycle, but I guess that's natural heard so much gd stuff kinda hope it works first time but I'm sure it won't!!

Are u being monitored with bloods or scan?
I think some people take a month or two atleast to fall, fingers crossed this month is ur month when AF due hunny?

HI,
In the first month I had scans from CD 10 to CD18 every other day at the hospital. Not the most comfortable! and then a blood test 7 days after they think I ov which confirmed I ov.

This month I think I have ov earlier by about 3 days which is good as before clomid I was ov about CD23 which obviously didnt gave me a short LP.

I usually have 28/29 day cycle so AF id due 9th March! Really hope she doesnt come.

Good luck for this cycle. are you have scans or bloods?

I wonder why thing differ so much with what they do as scans were never mentioned when I was given Clomid. I'm having 21 day bloods done to see if I ov.
Do the scans give u a better indication of ovulation? I'm just wondering what the difference between having a scan or bloods done, if there both to detect ov. Mmmmm TTC is never simple!!

Are u using Opk's or anything urself to track ov? I'm going to use Opk so I can try and make sure I don't miss ov.
So have u been given 3 months of Clomid and got to go back? As Iv been given 6 but I think if after 3 cycles it's not worked I'm going to ask them to up it to 100mg from 50mg.

Out of curiousity I did a due date thingy from my period date and if I fell on this cycle I'd b due around our wedding anniversary!! Gotta b an omen!! He he!

Here's a little about me:
Me (newly 24) DH 28
Married in 2005 but together since 2000
Have one son naturally conceived in 2007
MC an angel in 2009 and have been ttc for 22 months

I am on CD17 of my first clomid cycle of days 3-7, used OPKs an got a + on CD12 and 13, but a scan on CD 13 showed small follies, no bigger than 3mm, so I doubt the tests were right. I've got CD21 progesterone appt so I guess I will see what happens. If this cycle doesn't work, my doctor is upping my dose to 100mg. Fingers crossed for us all!

Heya BB hunny. Glad uv come along to this thread I'm hoping it will help all of us who are on or starting Clomid.
Are u and ur hubby high school sweethearts? As u must have been pretty young.

So far Iv not spotted any side effects of Clomid as yet and think Iv only got 2 more days to take for this month!!
How are u going with ur cycle Hun?

That's exciting you don't have long to go!!! I'm glad you aren't getting any icky side effects from it. This is my CD17 and having more cramps yet again. I don't feel any pregnancy symptoms at all but like you said, ttc never goes accordingly. We weren't exactly high school sweethearts. He was my older brother's best friend (and surprisingly still is) and I had a huge crush on him since I was about 11. Then I didn't see him for 3 years, he came back around a couple weeks before my 15th birthday, he took me out on a date for my birthday, we got engaged that Christmas Eve and the rest is history

. It was not the easiest relationship bc he was 4 years older than me and neither of our parents felt good about it and my brother was equally as mad, but it truly was love at first sight (kinda cheesy huh) lol he honestly told me when we first went out that he couldn't be with me because I was so young, but love doesn't really care how old a person is.

. I'm so thankful to this day that it worked out bc he truly is my best friend and my soul mate, and of course now that I'm 24 age really isn't a huge issue anymore.

Hello can I join you? Although I feel like the grandma as you're all just starting clomid and I'm on CD2 of month 7

So sorry if that dampens anyone's hopes that it's a magic drug - it does work for so many so keep that PMA!

I have a question!
My friend is selling a pretty new mummas n pappas pram, car seat and some other stuff think she called it a travel system! It's pretty much everything u need. It should cost about 600 quid all together but she is selling for ??200..... My question is as u know I'm not even pregnant yet bug would you buy it? As it's such a gd deal or would u feel that would b jinxing it or weird to buy something like that when ur not of yet????

Hello. I hope you're having a good day. I have been having really sharp pains in my uterus area and it's so sore to the touch. I have no idea what is going on with me. I go Thursday for my blood check so I guess I'll see then if I ovulated. As for the pram set, I'd buy it. I don't believe in the whole bad luck thing when people say don't buy stuff before 12 weeks. I bought stuff for my son before I got pregnant and he is healthy and fine lol. It's hard to pass up good deals like that

How is everyone feeling?

BB hope ur pains have died down. What cd u on now Hun?
My hubby came home this morn! And according too that Clomid ov calendar I should b ovulating between 5th and 10th going to start Opk tomo and hopefully I'l get a positive!! And then in a month or so a positive hpt!!!

Hey ladies,

Well I have been prescribed Clomid today

I will start on my next cycle. Cant wait to get started! I have found out today I have PCOS. We have been ttc for 2 yrs 5 months now! I am 22 and OH is 25. Fingers crossed this works otherwise we have been told we can get IVF at the end of next year.

How are you all finding Clomid? Has anyone had any side effects? xx

Iv got PCOS too but have known now for quite a while. Still difficult as it's only now it's effected my life!! When u next due AF? I know I was so excited to start Clomid!!

I haven't had any side effects had my first cycle on it, on cd8 now and hoping this first cycle does the trick n I get my BFP!!!

I really don't know when AF will arrive it can be anywhere between cd36-cd70 so the dr has given me other tablets to bring on AF if it doesn't come in the next 2 weeks (I'm on cd22 just now). I read aswell you are having 21 day bloods taken? I'm having that too which I thought was strange as most people on here have scans.

I really hope it works for u!! I do like a good BFP story lol xx

Faye-I'm on CD20 and go for my bloods tomorrow. Ive had terrible crampy pains all day today and bd'ing last night hurt so bad we had to quit early (sorry tmi) lol Im praying this cycle works but if not I will probably start Provera again next weekend, then start the whole thing over again. I think it would be neat if I conceived this month bc I conceived my last baby in march of 09 and was so disappointed after we lost it as I was looking forward to a Christmas baby. I hope you and DH succeed this cycle and you can have a sweet November baby

. Or December I suppose depending on when you ovulate

Heya Alice yeah I'm having bloods taken, I think tbh the scan and bloods do the something which is tell u if uv ovulated. I'm glad I only have to go to docs for bloods n not the hospital fir scans as the hospital is miles away!!
So uv got proversa too, I was worried it wouldn't work for me but it did took 7 days for AF to come after last tablet.

BB were u given more than 1 lot of proversa? Wish I had as I'm worried AF won't turn up n I'm
Not pregnant i don't have anyway of getting AF again! Do u know if a GP can prescribe proversa??
