I have kept all mine from Livs age upwards. Ive started getting rid of clothes that no longer fit her just beacuse it drives me mad having to try and fing somewhere to store them!! Also after 3 girls wearing them they have mostly had their 'wear' some dont even make it as far as Livs as I bin clothes that look really worn. Ive leant a couple of friends my neutral newborn and 0-3 bits. Hopefully I will get them back and then I'll keep them for number 4!! After this tho I will be getting rid of everything once its grown out of. We have sooooooo many clothes!!!

hi ladies
my mum has some sort of voodoo magic going as the clothes my lil people wear have belonged to all my bro's n sis and most still look brand new! its lovely but i did nearly have heart failure when my fil gave mai a chocky bickie the dress she was wearing had been mums when she was a baby and was still pristine! damn him! lol i keep all the baby clothes i can so i can pass them on! i wont pass down the first outfits as i had them each framed with a pic of new born baby wearing it and their hospital bracelets. those are for me to treasure when my babies are grown xxxxxxx

Ajmum3 i just have to say that you should never think you wont have a little girl after having 3 boys. I have 4 little boys and i have my 5th - a little girl - due on thursday!!!!!! I have bags and bags and bags of clothes from the boys and nothing suitable for a little girl in them as we always bought blue!!!!!

I'm really struggling with this at mo currently 26+1 with no3 (a girl) when i found out i was pregnant again i kept saying how good it would be if we were having another boy as ds was born in Oct too so all his clothes would be perfect.
Now we know its a girl i am having difficulties, got loads of boys stuff that won't be used this time plus loads of girls stuff that i won't be able to use either as dd was born in June so most of it is too summery for an October baby. Dp gets really annoyed cos we are coming down with baby stuff but is already hinting that he would like no 4 as he thinks its a nice round number so i don't want to part with anything lol!
I think there's nothing wrong with passing clothes on whether its to siblings or other family members and friends, infact most of dd's clothes were given to me by my sil and most still looked brand new! My mum used to dye my pink stuff navy so my brother could wear it, this mortifies my brother but as my mum said why let good clothes go to wqste! A friend of mine sells alot of her daughters clothes thru ebay, she doesn't make a lot of money but every little helps! x x
P.S. sorry that post got kinda long lol

hi

I have 5 kids but 2 are teenagers, a girl and a boy. I pass any nice clothes on to friends etc... if they want them. My boys are 5 and 3. I keep things that aren't covered in dinner medals! the baby stuff tended to get passed down as they dont dirty that too much. Once Joseph hit about 2 the hand me downs are not as plentiful. If I paid a lot for somthing then I tend to keep that for Charlie. Charlies stuff goes to a good friend who has 2 girls the same age as my boys and then she had a boy when i had a girl. She gives me bags and bags of dresses and things and I pass on as many boys stuff as I can manage...

Other things I give to Indian workers here who work away from home for about 90 UK pounds a month!!! They are so poor and the really appreciate all i pass on.
