Hi ladies, just wondering if any of you suffered shoulder dystocia in labour as it happened while in labour with my dd and she had to be delivered by forceps. She is now 19 months and oh and i are ttc again however after having this problem with my daughters birth they told me they would look out for it next time.Just wondering if any of you have experienced this as im wondering what they will do next time?x

They won't do anything differently as such, just be aware and possibly do prophylactic MacRoberts manouvrer when you deliver or encourage you to deliver on all fours as this opens up the pelvis.

just because you have had a shoulder dystocia before doesn't mean you will again, but staff will be prepared this time.

Good luck TTC x
