41 weeks tomorrow, and getting fed up..

Hi Mummies to be, I'm almost 41 weeks and getting fed up, had an easy ish pregnancy but now I'm getting to the point where I think when!!! My first baba born almost 2 years ago was 2 weeks late, is that a pattern? what can I do? been taking raspberry leaf tablets for 4 weeks! had a curry, done lots of walking, dont really believe in any of them as it didnt help bring my son out but get to the point where u'll try anything! except castor oil!!!!
anyone else over due?

heya im due today and i know how u feel. iv been fed up for weeks. iv heard that making your baby feel welcome and making sure everything is ready can help as it makes you mentally ready. Have you tried heavy cleaning? doing squats? jumping on a trampoline?

If you are really desperate you could always treat hubby with a bit of nooky lol! Supposed to help so may be worth a try!

Other than that I think bouncing on an exercise ball is supposed to help, as is keeping fairly active - walking etc.

Really hope you aren't kept waiting too much longer xx

Tried the nooky!! Thanks girlies, u'd think nature would b kinder after making us wait 40 weeks anyway! Tried walking and jumping up n down, gonna try the ball next! fingers crossed, Mummys Yummy, are u / have u had a sweep? I'm due one tomorrow..Before I clean my house away am hoping baba comes b4 the weekend!!

yea i had a sweep done today, my cervix was far back or something and MW said i was only 1cm dilated and that it would work. Iv not had any sort of show or any contractions yet, not even braxton hicks so thinking it hasnt worked. the only thing is the baby hasnt been moving and had to go into hospital to be monitered and they want me back on sat. im due another sweep one on tues. Im hoping something is going to start soon as i have family coming on mon from Germany!!

Hi Cheryl, MW wouldnt do a sweep as baba is now lying back to back, got some exercises to do and I'm having a sweep Sat, hopefully she will turn by then, booked in for induction Thurs.
Sweep can take a couple of days to work so keep positive. I had a sweep with my first born n it didnt work, I had another sweep and I went into labour that night, ..

hiya, still no sign of baby coming. baby was monitored today and apparently she's a sleepy baby lol. definately takes after her mummy haha. also got my induction date. 18/05/09 im hoping i dont have to get induced though. How did sweep go?

Hiya, sweep was awful, but.... its now 4.30 and I've been in slow ish labour since 1.30 am, house is sleeping and I'm jealous but pleased things are moving..I'll keep u posted, hopefully it wont take too long!!!
