I wish now that i (like you) had got into the pool before the midwife arrived as she wouldn't let me get in till the 2nd midwife arrived! which was only 20mins before the babe arrived.

That is the most beautiful birth story i have ever read!!! lol I decided not to get in the pool but had a long bath (not quite the same)

Home births are definaltey the way to go

Hi Jodie,

Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of baby Iris (who must be 9 weeks old or so by now?) - just wanted to thank you for sharing your lovely story. I am currently pg with my first baby and so although I don't think I'll have a home birth yours sounds just wonderful & I'm seriously thinking about a water birth!!
