Hi Lisa, you will definately be more relaxed at home and the chances are that your labour will be relatively quick anyway. My 4th baby is 6 weeks old and from being 5-6 cm at 23.45, he was born at 00.37. It was my 2nd home birth and the midwives kept saying how relaxed and calm I was. It definately makes a difference being in your own environment and puts you in control of your labour. I am probably quite wierd but I have enjoyed my last 2 labours at home so much!!
MummyLintern2be - I hasve just replied to your other post, why won't your midwives stitch at home? Anyway as I said, even if you do have to go in it doesn't defeat the point at all as the birth is the main thing and you will always think of your home birth as an amazing experience and the stitches just a slight inconvenience after. x
