Hi
I have quite a lot of baby clothes, a lot of the early stuff new born etc has hardly been worn. I have offered it to my local hospital, but they can accept it due to HEALTH AND SAFETY!!! (my daughter arrived at my side wearing a bodysuit which had obviously been washed so dont know where health and safety comes into it, but thats another subject )

What I was wondering is there a childrens charity which would appreciate the clothes, I would like to help children abroad if possible. I have sent some stuff to the Hibb feed the children, but the postage is quite high, that I might as well just send the money!

Would appreciate any suggestions.

hi, have you tried offering it to you local neonatal unit. they will probably only take the very small stuff, but will be very grateful for it. we accept them on our nicu but they have to be sent of for washing. hope this helps and i wish there were more like you

You could donate them directly to a charity shop? You could pick your favourite cause. Or does the NCT do anything in your area? Near me they run a baby cafe in a local church and have nearly new sales etc, might be an option?

you should say to the midwife about them and see if she nows of anyone who is in any homless places or having difficulty as a young mother/ mother to be who has no support. i knit alot of things and with the spare wool i knit thing's and gave them to her and she was very greatful of them.
Your say
