advice on steamer, please.

Hi all, i need to know can anyone advise me on which is the best steamer to buy. After suffering from morning sickness and completely hating all veg, im now 18wks and want to eat veg all the time, which is a good thing! I want to buy a steamer but dont want to pay a fortune, so any advice please. Debs x

Hi debbie,
I've got one of those steamers thats a stackable pan that you just use on your hob & would really recommend that type :\)

i have two steamers: one bamboo stackable that goes above a saucepan on hob and one electric one. electric one bigger so good for family sized meals, bamboo good for just couple or three. before i got them i used to put the veg in a seive and placed above saucepan of boiling water, worked just as well as long as only doing small amount, not great for doing more than one veg at a time! xc

Thanks Claire, i think id prefer an electric one, maybe i should just get an average price one, some are really cheap but i thought these might be rubbish. thanks for help Debs x

Hi Debs. Have a look at our sister site (via 'search our network') Good Housekeeping have lots of product reviews so I'm sure you'll get some good advice on steamers (and recipes too!). Alison
