Uterine Infection

Hi girla,

I had an elective c-section 8 weeks ago (due to one twin being breech & SPD).
Since i came home from hospital on day 5 i had bad tummy pains but it wasnt until my 6 week check that i mentioned it to my GP (stupid i know!). When she felt my tummy area i hit the roof, it was so painful and she noticed the skin was red and hot at one side and my womb was still high also. I was given antibiotics for a uterine infection which seemed to help but after the course was finished it all started up again.
Today i was given more antibiotics as it was again red and hot to the touch and painful on one side. There is also a hard lump on that side which has been there since the section but has been dismissed whenever i mention it. I'm getting myself paranoid that it could be an abcess?

I am just worried that this course of antibiotics is not going to solve the problem and i'm worried about what this means? Does anyone know what would be the next course of action if the infection remains?
I'm just getting pretty fed up of feeling ill and really don't have time to be ill with twins and a toddler!

Would love to know if this sounds normal at all? or any experiences of uterine infections in general?

Thanks in advance
xx

Oh My goodness, How are you feeling now? Are you any better after your last lot of antibiotics?
