We did it!

I know I haven't been posting much in this forum recently, mainly because Peter and I have been having so much easier a time over the past three months than our first three months.

But I did want to let you all know that Peter was six months old today we have made it all the way almost exclusively breastfed (he has been sucking of fruit and veg for 2-3 weeks and we started weaning him fully on Sunday). I am so pleased to have made it this far. It has never been a transcendental experience for us, but it has become a good, livable one and I have a lovely, healthy, happy boy to show for it (and huge! between the 91st and 98th centile, would you believe!)

Thank all so much for your support in the early days and for just being here. Knowing that I could pop in for advice whenever I needed it definitely helped to keep me going. I will try to drop in more often if I have the time pass the favour on.

Good on you! It's a good achievement especially after all your troubles!

Life's too short to spend time with people you don't care about!

A fab achievement, and well done after all the troubles you've had.
Good luck with the BLW, and enjoy it!

Thanks, ladies! Peter and I had a little cuddle today after his late afternoon feed and I told him how proud I am of him! :\)

Pixiebob, like you I hope to keep going for as long as he wants, but things may have to change at 10 months if I get the job I have applied for. Otherwise, definitely to a year if he wants it. Then I want to start thinking about ttc number 2 so I may start weaning him on to cow's milk then. We'll just see how it goes.
