did anyone else's oh say that they didn't want to come near them while they were still breastfeeding?

My dh (who, to be honest is normally lovely and supportive!!) has told me he will not do the deed or anything until I stop breastfeeding as it's too weird!

He says that he completely supports me breastfeeding so doesn't want me to stop but I now feel like a disgusting creature that repels him!!

Did anyone else have this problem?

Hi please don't feel like that, you are doing a wonderful thing breastfeeding your lo and as your oh is usually lovely and supportive and supports you breastfeeding maybe it is just one of those things that he feels that way. Does he know how much he has upset you? It isn't that unusual for some men to find things to do with pregnancy or breastfeeding "wierd" - there are men that don't like having sex when oh is pregnant because they think they will be able to touch the baby (wishful thinking for a lot of them!).
My hubby is the other way and is feeling very hard done by as he is not allowed near my breasts whilst I am feeding (I know I'm mean but they get very sensitive and sore) and as baby is 11 months and I've no plans to stop he hasn't had much of a chance for quite a while! But he is ok about it really.
It's better that your oh is supportive of your feeding. Maybe you can do other things to get intimate? lol x

i can sympathise as my hubby was a wee bit weird to start with cos i was engorged at first and was leaking at crucial times if you know what i mean and i was the same as arg and they were sensitive to touch but have discovered through trial and error that as long as Abby has completely emptied me we have the green light to go ahead... she usually fast asleep and hubby can have my boobies for a wee while before they fill up again

Thanks - Yeah I don't think he really knows how I feel as I was so shocked!
I hadn't really thought about it but he had.
I think I'll talk to him and see what solution we can come up with! lol
