Yesterday I intended to go into Birmingham city centre to visit hubby's workplace so had a look on the net to find out where the bf friendly venues are just in case I needed to feed Sophie, and found there was a distinct lack of info. We didn't make it in the end because she clearly had other ideas and wanted feeding pretty much non stop all afternoon so I couldn't get out of my chair to get there.

So.... I wondered if people would want to post details of any bf friendly venues local to them to help out others.

I'll start with the ones that I know:

Solihull town centre - John Lewis

Solihull retail park, Stratford Road - Mothercare World

Ooo good thread!

Here's mine:
Trafford Centre - amazing! Breastfeeding rooms at every toilet 'station' which have a lockable door, very spacious and have a private area if your with your friends and want to hide!

John Lewis in Liverpool 1

Golden Square in Warrington - have there own feeding room and theres also one in the Debenhams too.

Most unfriendly venue so far: Cheshire Oaks, massive retail park with a minature baby change (can't even take pram in never mind breastfeed!)

Westfield shopping centre is fab. Two family rooms downstairs one upstairs, each has extra large family loos- two toilets and room for a pram, a squishy seating area with tv, microwave (not too sure what for), three spacious changing areas, and 4or6 private feeding rooms with chair, stool, table and plenty of room for pram(s)

Bluewater shopping Centre is fab! Private feeding rooms/family rooms at almost every toilet place - and a big communal feeding room with bottlewarmers/microwave etc.

John Lewis at bluewater has a lovely feeding area too.

I agree Bluewater is very bf friendly. Lakeside also have a nice baby feeding/changing room with a private bf room which has a tv and water fountain., which is a nice touch.
Peterborough Serpantine is also has proper feeding rooms, as do a lot of Morrisons Stores.

worst kfc they keep the baby rooms locked, they won't heat baby food or milk and they won't give you a jug of water to do it yourself. Don't know about best, i have yet to find anywhere near me that has impressed me.

Generally if i need to feed/change i head to Debenhams/John Lewis/Mothercare/Boots. These are usually pretty good and you know they will have baby rooms.

Now i just tend to feed where ever i am. The other day i was in town and had my 3 year old with me so its not really handy to go and sit in a baby change for long. We just went to Debenhams coffee shop, i found a comfy seat at the back, got the wee one juice and a snack and i just fed the baby. I dont really care now, its so discreet if you wear the right clothes that no one really notices.

I've never used a feeding room, I think I'd feel a bit funny being shut away like that. I usually just go to a coffe shop, get a drink (sometimes a cake too) and sit down and get on with it, I think most of the time hardly anyone even notices.
