For me the best high chair in the whole world is the IKEA one because:

1. Its light and can be put away easily

2. Its basic and easy to clean, there are no nook and crannies to get food stuck in.

3. Its sooo low cost

4. Its tough and durable, and has a removable tray

Simplicity is the key with high chairs, when we had our first baby we bought an all singing all dancing one... But food got stuck in all of the flaps etc.

i have a graco yellow sunshine, bought in asda baby event for 25 pounds, cant fault it, things i like about it:

lightweight, foldable, easy wiped clean, 5 point harness (he was a wriggly one)

large easy fit removable tray(has a bit of a lip round edges) - which came in really handy for me as i could put my son in his chair, give him a few toys to play and i was able to get things done without toys dropping off highchair every 2 mins

agree with melanie - go simple x

I'd agree with the Ikea recommendation, we had a wooden one originally for our 1st, but found it really difficult to get food out of the joints.  When our second was born, his grandparents bought a cheap highchair from Ikea for their house, which we ended up bringing home with us...as previously mentioned, really easy to clean, didn't take up much space & very inexpensive!
