This thread is a quick introduction to your ‘My Settings’ page. It's where you can change any of your personal or profile details, including:

• Name, email, optional address and optional family details
• Avatar
• Signature
• Public profile
• Newsletter opt-ins
• Forum settings, including which forum threads you are subscribed to, and how your email notifications work

To get to My Settings, just click your name in the top right of the screen and choose ‘My Settings’:

Please take a moment to check that all your details have been carried across correctly from the old site, and let us know below (or by email at sf1@magicalia.com) if not.

If you had an avatar or signature on the old site, please check them too. (More about how to update them on this thread)

Hi Sean

How do you see the threads you are subscribed to?  On the old site it was in the top left corner where your log in is, and you could click on the thread, and it would take you straignt to the first unread post.  I can't see it on here.  Thanks for your help

the quickest way to get to the threads you've posted on recently is by clicking your name in the top-right of the screen, and clicking 'My posts'.

Email notifications will be also be up and running by tomorrow morning, so you can get an email when someone replies to a thread you're subscribed to, if you wish.

There's more about keeping track of messages in this help thread, but do say if I can help more.

Hi, just tried the above instructions, when I click on to my last post on a thread it only takes me to the front page of that thread so have to scroll through to find where I was up to.

What am I doing wrong?? I'm easily confused

if there have been new posts, you should see a handy 'view first unread post' link at the top of the thread,  which will whizz you to the right place:

You'll need to visit a thread once on this new site before it can show that link; it will be fine after that

Shout if that doesn't work?

Because this (new) site needs to build up a record of which threads you've visted, you'll need to have visited a thread (onthe new site) at least once, then it needs to have a new post, then you should see the 'first unread post' link.

So for instance, this thread should have 'first unread post' at the top. Let me know?
