Oh dear that lady that had the twins with IVF when she was 67 has died! What a shame for her babies. They are only 2 and 1/2

Why did she ever have to have babies that old. Poor children

I'm not surprised - poor kids
but the ironic thing is they think she got the tumor from having ivf so late!!!

Poor babies, this is why the women go through menopause and nature shouldnt be messed with in these cases. Fair enough for younger people to have ivf if they cannot have kids but 65! is going abit far

My heart goes out to those poor little boys!
Personally, I found pregnancy exhausting at 36! Wouldn't even want to think of it in my 60's!

poor children, but i picked up a copy of closer today and there's a 72 year old woman who's having ivf!!! She's been trying to have a baby since 50 as she was to busy before then. Obviously she's not having ivf in this country. I'm really sorry but i just find this selfish, how can you even think of having children in your 70's??

omg 72 is just ridiculous!!!! If I'm lucky enough to still be around then I hope to be enjoying my grandchildren not giving birth!
Sadly I think this will become more and more common - the technology is available and women think they can 'have it all'.

I really feel so sad for her children and very cross for them too, this is exactly why women of this age should not be able to have ivf treatment.
And i think the doctors that allow it are just money grabbing gits, sorry.xxx

i agree with you ladies, my heart goes out to those poor boys but thats why woman should not be allowed ivf after the menopause.granted young women die too but less likely. i just think its so selfish, i hope they have some good family to take care of them.xxx

How utterly selfish having IVF in your 70's? Why? What kind of a lifestyle are those children going to be given?!
Doctors need to have more moral fibre than think of the pound signs. It's just plain wrong. And as most of us thought those poor kids are now left without a mother.
IVF is there for a reason to help people who genuinely can't have children without the intervention.

The whole thing is sick. No disrespect to the dead but what a stupid, selfish old cow. Poor children, but at least now they may be able to be adopted by a loving family and have as 'normal' an upbringing as possible.
