i had this done 2 months ago and im feeling sick and tired alot of the time.. and just not myself.
its affecting my skin also and making it dry and patchy......

im also having a constannt light period...

does anyone know if i need to give it longer to settle? as im thinking of having it removed.

any advise appreciated...

I would be tempted to give it a bit longer to settle. I've got one in, it's been in about 8 months now. For the first 2-3 months I did have almost constant light bleeding/spotting but then it settled down. I do somethimes get spotting for a couple of weeks at a time, but it's rare and that's all I get, no proper af's, so it's not a bad trade off. I haven't really had any other side effects though, so I don't know if they are likely to settle or not. Might be worth popping back to your doctors/family planning clinic for a chat and see what they advise.

With my implant I had a constant af - almost for 6 months - and had to take tablets to make it stop, and also felt tired and 'not right'. I had it taken out just before Xmas and had the coil put in, and i have to say it's been such a difference!! And my af has just started, and for the first time in my life I'm pain free.

Go and see your gp about it - sometimes they can take upto 6 months to settle.

I've had the implant since september and no problems. I had a very light af for about month in october - so light some days it was just there when I wiped (sorry tmi!) and then nothing since.

Have you had a check up? I had to have it checked after 6wks to see how things were going. Might be worth seeing gp as the others have said and see what they say

I constantly bled for 6 months was awful... saying that different people suit different things...
