I have co-slept with my daughter since she was 2 days old. I tore badly and then the stiched got infected and burst, leaving me with an open wound (sorry if tmi). Needless to say I was in agony and the only way I could feed my daughter at night without having to wake my husband to bring her to me (I breastfeed) was to co sleep.
I have to say I love co-sleeping, the bond between my daughter and I is lovely and when she wakes in the night I give her my boob and go back to sleep!! BUT my husband has slept in the spare room since as he cant sleep properly with her in the bed.

So, I want my husband back in our bed! I usually dont have a problem putting her to sleep in her crib but when she wakes for a feed it is very difficult to get her back to sleep and because I am half asleep she usually ends up back in bed with me.

Any ideas or advice? Phoebe is 4 months old now so it is about time I start sharing a bed with my husband again!

can you not have a got at the side of the bed with the matress raised to the height of the bed so it is just like an extention of your bed?

As littlewolf mentioned, you could try a co-sleeper like this http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10751&langId=-1&productId=50033&source=froogle&cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Shopping%20Sites-_-CPC-_-Froogle

pricey at around ??200 but you can then use it as a free-standing cot later and thus sell your current cot!

Like you I love co-sleeping and Monty will graduate to his cot when he's ready too. My poor hubby is resigned to sleeping perched on the edge of the bed. Okay, so I exagerrate, but a bigger bed is definitely on the cards soon!!

i co slept with my daughter in one of these cots menttioned above (however i just used a regular cot with one side off as her mattress was just an inch or two higher than mine so it was fine so might be worth checking her current one before splashing out on a new one!!) and it worked wonderfully from day one and i would definatly do it again for a second one. I couldn't have her in the bed with us as my OH is to much of a fitful sleeper and i was always worried about dropping her as i never mastered feeding lying down! but this really worked well for us
