Sicky babies

My little one (now 4 weeks old) has always had a problem with being sick after her feeds which the midwife assured me at first was because she was a section and had probably swallowed alot of lfuid when she was born. The sickness died down for a while only bringing up a little bit when burped.

However in the last few days she has started to be sick alot more, I have tried changing the feeding position and making sure she is burped etc but as soon as I put her down either in her moses basket or her bouncing chair she is sick again and it is always quite a bit.

Do you think she no longer likes the milk I am giving her or could it be something else?:\?

Our daughter was very sicky as a baby even though she was breastfed till 4 and 1/ 2 months and then on bottles. We put it down to her eyes being bigger than her stomach in the end after seeing the doc loads of times. She also gets very sicky still if she gets a cold or snuffles as the catarrh setlles on her stomach! If you're worried see the doctor but it may just be something she grows out of - at least it's better than having a colicky baby and being up all hours!

Hi, my lo is very sicky, I have now changed him onto Cow and Gate Comfort milk and he is better, it's not stopped completely but much better, there is also SMA stay down you could try as well, Boots stock them both. Hope it settles down. xx

my little bot was constantly sick and had reflux so couldn't keep anything down, I had to tilt his cot mattress and feed little amounts of milk and then wind him, eventually the doctor gave him thickened formula milk on prescription, it might be worth considering the thickened milk, it worked for mine and ended when he went on solids.

Good luck xx

Mine is the same, she just kept on bringng it up 2/3 hours after her feeds. took her to docs who said it was reflux and gave her gaviscon which didn't work. took her back a few more times and was told there was nothing wrong with her but she kept doing it. forced the docs to refer her to hospital and was told that it was reflux but that we had to give her special formula on prescription, its starting to work slowly but was also told she will grow out of it.

My little boy is nearly 9months and has reflux, some days better than others. I can asure you all it does go away as my other little boy who will be 4 in March had it until he was 10months! Nightmare your already to go out with nice new clothes on and...... sick!!! But I guess we should thank our lucky stars that its only reflux!!!!

My daughter who is 11 months old today still spits up although not like she did when she was a baby...........she ALWAYS spit up after and sometimes worried that she wasn't actually keeping anything down, but as long as baby is having enough significantly wet diapers, then things are probably okay. I don't think I left the house without spit up on me somewhere for the first 6 months, LOL!!
