Everynow and again I don't see the harm!! As long as he has a varied diet he'll be fine!
When I'm feeding Poppy in a rush, I give her fish fingers and mash - she loves it and think of all that omega 3!!
Sandwiches are always good too for food in a hurry!
You're not a bad mummy at all!

I never thought of fish fingers and mash - cant wait to try it, think he might have it for lunch today!!

I think if you can count exactly how many times you've fed junk food then its definitley not too much. A littl bit of whats bad does us good, we all need a treat occasionally.

I cant really recommend any quick healthy snacks, I use the Organix stuff which although it looks ok is still prety much crisps and biscuits, lol.

You could make your own pizza. You could buy a ready made pizza base then put lots of fresh toppings on and you could share it.
Sandwiches with dairylea spread in and slices of cucumber and tomato are quick & easy. Fishfingers are good (I always buy Birds Eye ones and they also do salmon ff now). I've also bought some Turkey Dippers in breadcrumbs for Charlotte to have as finger food.
You can make you own pasta sauces with chopped tomatoes, and pieces of steamed veg like brocolli, courgette, cauliflower.
Don't beat yourself up about what he's had but I wouldn't make a habit out of it. It could make him a fussy eater and processed food sometimes has a high fat content.

We make our own pizzas - we use our bread maker for the dough. Louise loved her little one with tomatoe and cheese on it! She had it for dinner and lunch!

Last night we had pies and I had left over pastry so make her a cheese pastry thing and we loved that too. I dont think i'd count either as junk food.

I keep thinking about giving Louise fish fingers as finger food - she's 7 months - I dont like fish myself so dont make fish dishes and would be a good way of giving her fish. I must remember to get some!

Donna&poppy are right hun, as long as your lo's diet is varied it wont do them any harm. cameron has had fishcakes and smiley faces..he's only 8 months. his grandma also loves to give him proper biscuits!! which i have complained about but he what do i know!!
he's had milky buttons over christmas too!
ccbmommy, if you were making your own pizzas what sauce do you put on them? i get the bases and ready made sauce normally so if i did a fresh sauce cam could have them too couldnt he!

I get a large tin of chopped tomatoes, drain most of the juice off then hand blend the tomates so it's a thicker sauce. You could buy ready made sauce or passata but I always think they taste really salty.
If you wanted to be really Jamie Oliver you could roast some sweet cherry tomatoes in a little olive oil then blitz them and put them on as a pizza sauce but your lo might not like the skins. I hate doing all that putting tomatoes in boiling water, taking skin off & deseeding fiasco though!!

I find Gouda is a good cheese to put on as Charlotte loves this anyway. I just cut it into little cubes, then add ham & pineapple or whatever takes my fancy really.

Like the idea of a bread maker too Loopy Lou!!

We use our bread maker for pizza more than bread!!

My mum's oh uses thiers for making cakes!

We used a pasts sauce I think on Louises pizza, that or heinz do tubes of tomatoe pizza toppings. I hate tomatoes so have no idea what they taste like! lol But thats one reason why we make our own - I dont have any tom sauce on mine. We buy bags of mozzerella (sp?) grated. I put chedda on Louises as I wasn't sure if she could have mozzerella?

I think your giving yourself a hard time when you shouldn't at all tbh!

When I opened the post I expected to read about lo's having take away meals and ready made-microwave meals or sugar and salt in everything lo's eats

Alex loves party pizzas and rolls, sausage rolls, cheese and onion rolls whether they are freshly made at home or from greggs
And Quavers are not that bad they are probably the best crisps to give your lo with the contents they have or lack! :\)

What about salads or jacket potatoes (take the skin off though!) and different fillings?
