HI Ladies,

Just a quick hello as Mrs C, we had a fantastic day and it was the 2nd best day of our lives. The whole thing went without a "hitch" (excuse the pun) and was just brilliant from start to finish.

I just have to say a HUGE thank you to babygrowbelly & xxmrsjohnstonexx, Ruth did my makeup and Sharon did my hair & both looked amazing so thanks Also another thank you to Jenny & Sean & JJ for turning up, it meant a lot (sorry the music was so loud lol!)

We have just been up to Scotland to scatter FIL's ashes so it was a bittersweet weekend, but tomorrow we fly out to Brisbane for 3 and a half weeks for honeymoon, I will try & pop on & say hi whilst I am away

Anyway, here are a few pics, hope you don't mind (mine & my bridesmaid dresses were all handmade by my sisters MIL):

We don't have many pics of Amelie yet as most of the guests had gone when we had our wedding party pics done, she was so hot she got stripped off her christening dress & just into her vest!!

I have a few more to add & a poem I wrote for Amelie which I'll share with you

and here is the poem I wrote for Amelie which I managed to read out at the reception without properly crying (although there were a few choked moments and a few pauses to compose myself!):

Amelie Louise our little Princess
From the moment you were born you were put to the test
You fought your way on the rollercoaster of life
Amazing every doctor and every midwife
Four weeks in hospital you had to stay
And we were there for you every step of the way

As you grew you started to watch and smile
And those late night feeds were made all worthwhile
You love bathing with Mummy, our little water babe
Splish, splosh, splash is the name of your game!
Then cuddles with Daddy and then off to sleep
We listen for the monitor in case of a peep

Our pretty little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes
We watch you grow up and swell up with pride
So hundreds of photographs we have taken
Watching you sleep and when you awaken
So for this on your Christening Day
Mummy and Daddy just want to say

You have made us so proud from the very start
From the moment you were born you stolen our hearts
To be your parents, it is a pleasure each day
To watch you babble, giggle and play
Yours and Daddy's surname is C**** and now Mummy-s is too
And on your special day we want to say how much we love you

xx

Thanks CharlieMum, we scattered his ashes at Glen Nevis, just outside Fort William, it's a place he loved and asked us to scatter his ashes there 4 years ago if he ever passed away, he passed away in February 08 in Australia so this is the first chance the family have been over to do it. I also scattered my bridal bouquet in with him too
