Hi,

I hope you don't mind me posting this, but I remember reading that you were trying the EASY routine with your twin boys & I was wondering how you were getting on? I have started doing it with my little one and so far, so good. On the days where we concentrate on the routine & don't necessarily go anywhere it works, however if we go out, it seems to throw him & we end up having difficulty getting him to settle.

Just wondered what your experience of it was so far really. It's very early days for us - Edward's only 5 weeks old, so am not expecting miracles, just want to get him used to a system.

Hope you and the boys are well

Hey hun,

Of course I dont mind!! We started well with the routine. However, the boys have had Bronchiolitus so we have had to put things on hold as they have been sleeping so much!

However, it hasnt been too bad. They roughly follow an EASY routine anyway, which I didnt realise at the time. I try and plan my days around the routine at the moment so I can stick to it. I have to plan my days anyway with having 2 of them!! When they get into the swing then ill not worry too much. The boys always sleep in the buggy so I plan going out in the buggy around when they have a nap.

My main issues revolve around when they wake up as its different every day and that drives me mad. I always try and keep bedtime set, and the routine for that is always the same.

I have also bought the Baby Whisperer book and have joined the website to ask for help. The website forum is quite good.

When we get back in the swing, after they have got a little more better then we will see if it is totally successful. Ive heard good things so fingers crossed.

Hope things go well for you.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Sorry to hear your boys aren't well. I do hope they start to feel better soon.

I think I'll have a look at the website as I'm starting to have more questions as I get more involved in the routine. I think I'm a bit like you really, in that the routine Edward & I seem to be getting used to is based on the idea of EASY, but not to the letter - he sleeps for at least 2 hours at a time (although I try not to let him go longer than 2 1/2), and is awake for the activity part for quite a long time - in fact he is sometimes sleepier during the feed than he is after the activity!

Hope things go well & the boys make a speedy recovery. Maybe see you over on the BW website!

Thank you for your help.
