Exercise?

Hi

Has anybody started to exercise since their LO' been born? I am looking to start exercising again, but as I had a caesarian, when do you think is best time to start exercising? Brooke is nearly 8 weeks now.

I had a section and appart from walking i havent done much until i joined the gym a week or so ago. cameron is 5 months now. It is totally up to you when you feel ready, i felt physically ready by about 12-14 weeks (think not before 12 weeks is recommended for doing so much after a section) but i was happy to stay at home bondng with my baby rather than scoot off to the gym before now.....now im quite happy to leave him with the mil for an hour or two!

thanks 4 reply, i am looking to do exercise in house, as been to gym b4, and do not like going, might sound silly, but I hate exercising in front of other people (except my husband). I think i will leave exercising 4 another couple of weeks as still feel a bit tender.

i didnt have a c section but wen i did start exercising it was light things-no working out in the gym lol. i started by jus taking long walks wiv the lo in pushchair n then went swimming n built up from there! xx

I bought a Wii fit and have lost 5 lbs since my son was born 16eeks ago. I have also started eating porridge or weetabix in the morning and sticking to 3 healthy-ish meals a day with some healthy snacks from Julian Graves. I class shopping as exercise!!
