Just wondered if anyone else has this problem. When feeding Kyra we have to give her something to play with or jump around and act like clowns to distract her to get food into her. Otherwise she'll clamp her mouth shut and won't eat. This started to happen around a month ago...any idea how to get her out of this ridiculous habit!!! I mean oh actually juggles fruit to distract her

LOL, sorry its not really funny. But it kind of is!! We've never had this problem but I know some Los have to be distracted to eat...have you tried letting her feed herself finger food instead of spoon feeding? Spoon feeding a 10 month old can be a battle!! xx

Yes, I have this problem! Ryan is 1 now but ever since I can remember he has needed distracting to eat. Sometimes a book he can turn the pages through, sometimes toys on his highchair table, an empty box or bottle...anything...the list goes on. But now I try to give him finger food he can nibble on through the meal like sticks of carrot, chopped up fruit to go with dessert, breadsticks etc. I think I can count on one hand the times he has just sat and been fed. Now he often will have a spoon so kind of digs in in between me feeding him. Good luck though - know where you are coming from!

We have to give theo something edible to hold while we feed him, otherwise he just shouts and cries!
