Can anyone recommend a baby carrier for forward and outward facing carrying? We have bought a second hand Tomy one but the back support is not very good. I have heard the Baby Bjorn is the thing to get but was just wondering if anyone can suggest anything else.

Also we would be looking to buy a rucksack for when Tom is older. Can anyone suggest a good make and model for that too?

Baby bjorn active is a great carrier provides excellent back support.

Rucksack any of the little life are good LittleLife Cross Country is the in-between and defiantly worth a look.

I can also recommend the Baby Bjorn. As an everyday carrier, it's fab.

The best fitting rucksack we've found - after lots of research, is the Kelty Kids Base Camp Carrier.

Fab, thank you for your suggestions. I think we will go for the Baby Bjorn but there is so much choice for the back pack style things and we need something robust for walking the dog that we can both wear!
